May 19, 200520 yr This isn't really a first gen thing but i had to share. Everything that this little robin motor is compared to is a honda, I love it http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=90788 ~CHIM~
May 19, 200520 yr Old gen fits, its a low horsepower engine they seem to get installed in some cheap junk, but the warranty on the engine is often 5 times longer than the rest of the gokart/compressor/cheese grater.
May 19, 200520 yr Funny this post should appear. Yesterday, my daughter called and asked me, "Can you hear that motor? It's a Subaru." I question marked... HUH??? (Shocked that she used the proper name, she always refers to my cars as Gooberus... geesh... no respect!) So the story goes, she was tilling her large garden with her Mantis tiller and a neighbor came by and said, "Using THAT thing's like rowing upstream with a teaspoon." He shook his head, laughed, walked away and came back with a Subaru Robin tiller. She said running it was like trying to hold back a horse. (She's only 5'2"). A new believer maybe?
May 20, 200520 yr Author I'd like to build a little dirt go cart out of one of those ! Now thats an idea, Using a little subie moter and some fiberglass and build a mini gl gocart, Making it look like it's big brother down to the T. Thats somthing i would like to see, Hell maybe that would be the perfect summer project for me? Anybody else feel like givin it a go? I think i speak for all of us when i say "Pictures"! ~CHIM~

The fiberglass stuff I don't mess with though. I would make mine a "brat" go cart!

I've seen them in some cheap junk too but I've also seen them on some high end stuff. Snapper uses them for their top of the line comercial walk-behind mowers which sells for about $300-$400 more then the same mower with a brigs.
May 20, 200520 yr i just got a rupp minibike without a motor.do you know what i`m thinkin:brow: ? i already put a suby emblem on its tank
