October 13, 200520 yr i'm getting ready to replace the lifter or lifters on the drive side. just wondering what i'm getting myself in to. is this something that can be done in a couple of hours?
October 13, 200520 yr You have to take off the cam tower and the timing belt on that side, among other things. I would guess it'd take an afternoon on your first time, but I would budget a day just in case. (Not saying you're slow or anything, you just want to have plenty of time in case it takes a while.)
October 13, 200520 yr yeah I agree with kelly.. IF everythign goes right and the t-belt covers come right off, 2 hours. Clean up the cam case where the silicone goes real good with a razor and brake cleaner. make sure you have the O-rings that go between the head and the cam tower.
