November 3, 200520 yr The Dealership owner thought i should park on the grass Can't have a cool car without a cool plate I confused the service writer just a little bit PK lift, Soobme Bumpers and rack, Mudrat adapter plate for teh win Didn't skip a beat, rides like a champ, feels real nice going down the road. And i'd honestly like to thank everyone who helped make this happen, from the begining, not just the engine, but everyone who's been there to help me along since my first Evan's Creek outing in 2002 In no particular order, Zap, Qman, Tex, Austin, Ed, Corky, John, Pvt Arne, Krissy and the Hatch Patrol. Without you guys, i'd probably still have a subie, but you guys Make the ride worth while. Can't wait to be back "home" in Seattle again. And thanks to Jeff, for letting me use his garage during the worst part of the 03-04 winter while we were trying another engine swap. He's a Mopar guy so i had to keep him seperate.
November 3, 200520 yr Awesome!!! Almost brings a tear to my eye... Does this mean no more timing belts in Montana?
November 4, 200520 yr Friggin' awesome Noah! Aren't the looks on peoples' faces at the dealer priceless? Looks like it's time for a roadtrip up here, huh?
November 4, 200520 yr Author Yes, yes and yes. I hope, knock wood, that i won't have to worry about timing belts, but i have a spare, so either way i should be set. Monday i find out if i have a job here in Michigan, (my only reason to stay) If i don't get it, i'll for sure be coming out to Seattle, and sure, a trip to Ak would be great.
November 4, 200520 yr looks great! awesome that it runs well! so do you think i'd be able to pull off an EJ22 swap into my 79 in under a month? (lol and with an RX trans... hmm... this is sounding harder and harder the closer i get to it...) nice isuzu 4WD badges too...
November 4, 200520 yr What rad are you running in that thing? EA82T 2-row or did you go with the EJ rad?
November 4, 200520 yr Author Its got a standard EA radiator, i'll get some good pics of closeup stuff soon, to show how i customized stuff.
November 6, 200520 yr hurray!!!!! cant wait to hang out and party again lucky you with your USMB license plate
November 6, 200520 yr nice pictures! If you plan on changing a timing belt in Montana again, make sure you have an extra tensioner on you, pre-compressed. That way you don't have to worry about finding a bench vise if you have a roadside timing belt repair..
