November 4, 200520 yr Hi. I am in Maple Ridge, BC just east of Vancouver. I have had a Suby shop at my place since 1995. I currently have about 30 Subies here.2 Brats, 3 Justies, 5 XT's, 1 Loyale sedan, 2 Chasers and the rest are Loyale wagons. Some are projects, the rest are for parts. I want to get into building custom off-road Subie-buggies from scratch. My last major project was a 4wd 56x60 ft, each wheel having an independent 4 ft screw type lift system. It was for a bridge reno outside of Van. Not too fast, but did the job. Apply the same idea to any job. Like Wyatt Earp said, "Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything."
November 4, 200520 yr Welcome, i'll direct you to the top 3 forums for your needs 1, Offroad forum, that one is pretty self explanitory 2, Retrofiting, Subaru into Subaru 3, Anything non Subaru + Subaru parts. any combination of these 3 should give you exactly what you're looking for. Someone made a "go-kart" of sorts out of an old hatchback, i don't know his screen name, but a search for "summer" should turn somthing up.
November 4, 200520 yr With all those Subies, I would have thought you would have been here much sooner. Welcome to the board. We like people who think outside the box. Creative thinking is how we have been able to get these old Subies so far off-road. Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 84 GL Mad Max 01 Forester
November 4, 200520 yr Welcome to the board. Excuse my ignorance, but what is a chaser (besides what you wash down a shot with)?
