This is a question for Corky (Dr RX). They did have 3 dr coupes that had LSD's

By VIN, it's a

1988 Loyale GL10 sedan AWD turbo 5spd with:

PS, PW, PL, AIR CONDITIONING, CRUISE CONTROL, DD, SUNROOF, LSD

I could tell you the ignition key code, where it was originally sold, how much it orginally cost, and who the present owner is, but then I'd have to kill you lol.gif

Don't know where all that other stuff came from, but here is a link to my web site VIN page.

VIN 1980 to 1989

The LSD wasn't standard on Fulltime 4WD GL-10s until 1989, and AWD wasn't on Subarus till the Legacy,

well. you might want to check your soob factory resources for flaws.. loyale didn't come outuntil 90, and there is no such beast as a "loyale GL-10"

My local Soob dealer (Ty in Windsor Locks, CT) refers to all EA82 based models as "Loyales", from '85 to '94. I'm guessing it's easier for them to call them all Loyales since they're basically the same thing.

hey, Brian..

skeet's car needs a new key as the only one it has is pretty worn down.. would you be willing to please hook him up with the master key code if he gave you the vin?

On most Car the Key Code is on the Passenger Side Door Lock Cylinder, just take it out of the door (may be harder done than said) and it should be stamped on the lock cylinder.

"may be harder done than said"

:D that's why I asked about running the vin

last time i used http://www.carfax.com the first search was free then it's only 24.95 for a month for unlimited searches

But it's a 1988 GL10 wagon 1.8L L4 Turbo 4door and there are 5 records aganist it, could be good or bad such as accidents or mean nothing such as tranfer of owner ship, emisions pass or fail

like i said the first search use to be free

Any dealer can cut a key with the VIN and proof of ownership (registration or title). The last time I lost a key it cost me $7.50 for two copies.

That's the thing- I can do it (well, I probably can as long as the key codes were entered) but I can't cut the key without proof of ID and proof of ownership right there in front of me. Anybody could cut a key by VIN and steal a car if dealerships cut them without ID :-).

Which is why I brought the title and bill of sale with me (I hadn't registered the darn thing yet and I"d already lost the key).

Still, a dealer can, and will, cut a key by the VIN with proof of ownership.
