  1. I'm going to buy por-15 for My brat and my rodeo To me it will worth the price at 33.00 a quart I my get 2 quarts small investment compared to the cost of replacing sheet metal in my opinion I'm using it as a (preventitve not a cure) www.por-15.com Hassey
  2. I might show up could be kinda fun tromping threw the corn fields in my BRAT Hassey
  3. call me if you want or leave your number and i'll try to talk you threw it over the phone 303 781 5058 hassey
  4. you will loose no ground clearance it will Not hang any lower than your tow hooks do now it will be flush to the bottom of the bumper just like the trailer hitch is in the photo theres no ground clerance there is there? Hassey
  5. No custom bumper I'm using the same idea as the trailer hitch in the photo and will set under the bumper just like the one in the photo and the ones you see on the street except it will have two ports or sleves 1 on each side of the licence plate with 2 pipes bent in a L shape that will slide in the ports/sleves and you mount your tire carrier on them so it will slide out still remaining in the sleve/ port so you can open the hatch or tail gate don't have any photos cause it still in the making Don't think about the bumper it plays no part in this idea and will stay right where it is you won't even touch it think trailer hitch with two ports/sleves it will mount where the tow hooks are Hassey
  6. I was just talking to the guys at the Colo meet about this yesterday although I have a Brat. It would still work and apply to your hatch. I try to explain if you were to look at the trailer hitch in the photo above or most trailer hitches anymore there square and the hitch will slide out well i'm going to use that idea and put 2 sleves on ether side of the licensce plate and make them about 15" long it will be about 1" 1/2 ID square tubing then then take some round tubig 1" 1/2 OD tubing so that the round tubing will slide in to the squre tubing with a pipe bender bend two pieces of the round tubib in a (L) the bottom part of the (L) should be about 23" long you can cut the end off as needed but a good starting point the (L) round tubing needs to slide in and out of the square tubing easily thats why the 1" 1/2 ID and the 1" 1/2 OD when once you've done that you need to get the tire mount (for me I got mine off of an Isuzu trooper cuz mine are 6 lugs and thats what will work) when mount it to the round tubing so the whole idea is that when you need to open your tail gate or in your case hatch pull the pin and the carrier will slide out and still stay in the square tubing thats why the round tubing needs to be atleast 23" long If i did a lousey job on explaining this maybe someone that does understand can help clean it up a little Hassey

  10. I've been there several times only about a mile or two from me but my all time favorite is pull-n-save www.pullnsave.com Ok Dr Krazy It's all on you now. The meeting place(s), and the time(s), i think every ones said sept 18th will work for everyone. so the rest is up to you. I will add one thing if I can and thats that both meeting places be chosen before hand and posted here. example: if we meet at red rocks and convoy to the hamberstand let it be known and posted here first (don't deside the second place standing in the red rocks parking lot) that way if there are a some that can't make the first one they know where to catch up It's just a thought and an Idea thats all not trying to step on toes  Hassey
  11. Meeting at red rocks is great and works for me on the 18th too. just a couple of inputs hamburger stand is Great but theres also a Sonic in Golden 17191 s Golden road about 6 miles from Red Rocks Colfax to 6th to ulysess or for that matter we could just meet and the hambuger stand on Holland too just an input or two. Hassey
  12. I like the looks of line-x compared to rino line, liine -x has cleaner look as far as i'm concered but everyone will have a differant opioinon Line -x Here in denver wants $385.00 for the bed I ask about the rocker panels I want to do thoes and up to the wide molding on the bottom of the door. And for that the want $285.00 I.m assuming that for both sides and not per side Hassey
  13. I can make to any date you all decide on as long as it the week end that is I will be able to meet and greet you all and all of you who want to see the Brat it will be there. The only down side is if theres going to be any 4 wheeling I can't join you on that part as I do not have reverse at this time need to rework linkage You never know how bad you miss reverse untill you don't have it:-\ if were voting on a meeting place I vote Red Rocks Hassey
  14. I instahled 5 1/4 200w round pionner door speakers in my brat one under the steering colum shroud and the other just above the passenger tray under the glove box in that plastic wall sorta speak. in the back behind the seats are 2 6x9's 200w and 2 6" 200w round speakers mounted in a box i made it's a level deck that runs door to door and level to the hump Hassey
  15. Use a 1995 legacy steering knuckle cut in half in between knuckles and weld in the splice the 1995 legacy steering knukle is double jointed at both ends and using this method will allow for smooth turning Hassey
  16. I've toyed with that Idea for a couple of years now. I took 2 photos cut one in half right in front of the t-top and laid it on the other photo. It really would look pretty cool I've got 2 brats but it would cost a lot of money to do Hassey

  21. calebz The fact is that if you re-read the post i did anwser th question not with the size of wrench but the fact that the posture adjustment real aren't meant to be adjusted either rookie or mechanic. the vehcials are meant and desighned to have the wedge look for a reason. Even with my 6" lift the posture remains the same    Hassey
  22. straight from the Owners Manual (Quote) The vehicle posture adjustment requires the wrench not supplied with the vehicle. If you do not have the wrench or mechanical ability, it is recommended that you consultyour authorized subaru dealer (UnQuote) (Quote) CAUTION: The ground clearances can be also adjusted to the maximum adjustable heights when driving conditions warrant. However, if the ground clearances are out of specified ranges, noise excessive wear of tires, poor fuel economy during highway driving or uncomfortable ride may result. Make sure that the ground clearances are readjusted to the specifed ranges when resuming normal driving conditions or rapid tire wear will result. (unQuote) You got a tool kit when you bought a subaru brand new back then. plyers, lug wrench, spanner, screw driver flat head and philips reversiable. 12mm wrench 10mm wrench Good luck Hassey
