November 19, 200520 yr Hehe nice! I've heard only good things about the old Subarus, I just hope mine holds up aswell.
November 19, 200520 yr yeah, they'll shake and shudder till you blow the cup out, then you just pop it into 4WD and go another 150 miles
November 21, 200520 yr I seem to recall Paul spending an entire winter with a RWD turbowagon:rolleyes: but this is probably the wrong forum to post that in... I drove home from Georgia in my '73 with a pretty-much-shot boot, but made it.

But still hey 50 miles on a shot CV,well that's something to clink glasses over.
November 26, 200520 yr Author well, time to tear it apart and prep for new ones. not looking forward to this.
November 26, 200520 yr The left rear on the xt6 was banging like a teenager, so I pulled it, and when I dropped the rear diff, the passenger's side fell apart - 2 pieces. The only problem is that there are no replacements in the state. I ended up having to order from the factory down south and have them shipped up 2nd day air (ouch). My xt6 will sit on jack stands in the garagew for a week - I'm now stuck driving a 97 Ford f-150. It's just not the same.
