I know I want to get some super swampers for my rig.

 

What I don't know is whats the different between them.

 

The TSL is the least expensive.

but then there is TSL radial and also SSR.

 

I do a lot of on road driving and want to pick one that will last a while.

 

The TSL says it requires strict attention to pressure on road so I would guess it would be most likely to wear out quickest. Does the radial version last longer? ANd where does the SSR fit?

yes, super swampers will wear out faster, since the ssr is a radial and not a bias ply tire, it will be a lot better for street driving..and it also wont get flatspots in the cold mornings.i'm really not sure about the tsl radial, but i wouldn't imagine that it would be to much different from the ssr.. i would probably say go with ssr's since you do a lot of street driving

Thanks. I have been pouring over the faq's and such. I really wanted the coopers since they seemed to do well both on and off but I can't find them anymore. Darn 14" wheels

ya, the coopers are discontinued, personally, i am going to get some ssr's here pretty soon, and i'll just run my other set of tires when im goin on trips and long drives. you will probably have to cut a bit more of your fenders on your wagon, or are you getting a lift??

The SSR's would be THE way to go for your'e needs. They will out last the TSL bias 2:1. And they are alot quieter on the street as well. They work better in the snow and ice too.

Yup, I'll be going with 27x9.5 SSR's when I get my lift in. They're actually one of the less expensive tires in that size around here.

sipped is when they cut little bitty lines in the tire, improves were, traction on ice and snow, and such.. all the little lines cut in the tire are sipes.

Im running the ssr tsl 27" swampers they are way cool I was suprized at how quiet they are I am running 24 Lbs on 15 x 6 toyota rims off road they are King
