I wasn't under it. I had it up on four blocks, and I just put new cv boots on the rear axles. I put the diff and axles in. I put the wheels on and was jacking it up to take the rear blocks out and it fell over. The front end, trans, and one of the axles caught it. They are all probably messed up.

oh man, that is terrible. its a shame because that car was in beautiful shape, glad to hear no one was hurt.

are you gonna fix it?

The body didn't get damaged any except the front end. Hell yea i am gunna fix it. I can get a manual trans for $43. Is $96 a good price for a locking diff. with 3.9 gear ratio?

There is a car like mine at a pull-a-part junkyard. They let you go in and get the parts your self.

Thats real sad. Thats the most sorry excuse for a rack I've ever seen. Jack stands dont cost all that much. You could have been hurt and you definatly hurt your car. Hope you learned a lesson :-\

Yea I learned a lesson, to keep my car off of crap i make myself. The front end is not as bad as it looks in the pic. I can fix it easy. Collision repair is the kind of work I am going into.

Jack Stands

Your life is worth it.

(In elementary school a classmates dad was crushed by the family car because he had it up in a similar position)

Im only a noobie but even I know that was an accident waiting to happen. Glad you wasnt hurt. Sad to see your car suffer though.

Yeah, what he said. That looks more like your were doing some medieval torture to your car, rather than working on it.

I've seen worse:

You could submit your pictures for their collection, and see them immortalized.

I've always felt I redeemed my life a bit when I offer something I did as a horrible example in warning to the next generation.

I have the car on the ground now, with JACK STANDS holding the front up. Now I just have to finish fixing it. Not sure what all of the damage is from the fall, it got dark.
