i was inspecting my turbo last night, and found three large craks around the waste gate opening. so what to do? see if i can find someone to weld them up and then resurface it? or just realplace it?

thats the way i was thinking of going. since its cracked, what else could be wrong that i cant see.

if your talking about the wastgate opening, well i don't know what would cause the waste gate opening to brake in the first place.

i'd spel check it first then swap out the turbo

depends where i have heard stories of the fin's going and sending shrapnel throughout the engine bay and the intake as well

When a turbo craps out, you lose power, your throttle tries to freeze up, life sucks. Follow the advice already given, replace it and don't look back.
