Will all subaru wheels fit, how about other car wheels.

Only the 4 lug subaru wheels will fit your GL. The older subaru 4 lugs are 4 x 140mm which is an odd size. As for other vehicle's rims...only a vertain type of Puegeots wheels fit.

Ok, My dad has a 93 legacy and I want to get the 14" wheels over the 13" wheels for my Gl.

nope those will not fit

all eighties subaru wheels will fit and some puegut wheels will i think i misspelled that

Don't take this the wrong way, but do a search or look around the site a bit. This is one of the oldest topics or subaru discussion.

Regretably, we are very limited in our choices of wheels. That is why some folks swap the hubs out.

Only the later Justys (the Suzuki-made ones that were never sold here) deviated. '87 through '94 were all 4 x 140mm.

If I'm not wrong Peogeot 405 rims will fit.

Well I did search for "wheels" but should have tried rims. Next time I will look a litle harder. Thanks though for the help, I will just try to find 14" wheels from an older subaru then. Oh and thanks for the link bella.

Good luck with that.. There were very few 14 inch 4x140 wheels that actually made it into the US.

 

Peugeot 505 and 504 wheels are you best bet. THey were available in 14 and 15 inch form. 405 wheels will not fit. Also, a lot of the early 80s (pre-85) subaru wheels will not work, as the rub on the brake caliper)

 

Your other options are 5 lug conversion (thats what I did.. I now use 16 inch WRX wheels)

 

Or the 6 lug conversion

well then maybe I will look in the junk yard for some alloy wheels, At least they will be better than the steel.
