I gotta put the plug wires back on the RX and see if it will fire up. But the Service Manual i have doesnt have the firing order in it. And the HTKYSA lists EA81's, but doesnt specify if EA82 is the same.

 

I have this graphic I made up a while back for the EA81:

 

Would it be the same for the EA82... just the disty in the back instead of the front?

I've got a Haynes 1980-1994 and both the OHV and OHC engines are 1-3-2-4..

i think ALL subaru motors fire in the same order if im not mistaken.

Ok so i took a shot in the dark, and yep... the wiring arrangement is the same as EA81, and same firing order (thanks Spiffy!).

 

Put the wires on and she fired right up! So stoked.
