August 10, 200619 yr Hi all. I have a quick question and I'm 99.44% sure the answer is no. Can a 1999 OBW run on E85 fuel? It seems to be $.80 - $1.00 less than 87 octane and we're going on a trip from the middle of WI to Tulsa and that would save a lot of coin. Thanks.

Thanks. no its not that simple, you need bigger injectors, a scrubbed fuel system, and a reprogramed ecu to name a few. Also while e85 seems cheaper it gets 30-40% less mpg so its a wash. nipper

No you cannot unless the car has been modified from its stock form.
