I was talking with one of you guys about custom axles for the 5 lug swap with the NA 5MT inner cups, i think you had suggested GCK axles would do the custom work for me, just wanted to make sure before i go looking.

Talk to Brad (subaru_styles) he had some custom axles made up on his old wagon.

Check with bratsrus1; he had custom axles made by CV axles of Ocala.

has anyone tried just pulling the cups off of a 23 spline axel and putting it on the XT6 axel?

 

thats all i had to do on the RX swap on the rear. i just put the WRX inner cups on the GL axels.

Yes, you can put 23 spline DOJs onto an XT6 axle. Also, a note was made in the USRM about swappage, under 5-lug conversion.

 

Milesfox also said that you can use FWD manual axles since they have a 23 spline DOJ but you'd have to use the Legacy knuckles I think. I haven't done anything like that so I don't know from experience

I could build my own, i have also heard that the EA-82 inner cups will fit the ER27, but i'd rather get good quality center sections with new joints and boots. cause i don't want to be rebuilding custom axles in the wilderness.

Probably have to get some new GCK axles, and then change the DOJ cup on them. I'm betting you can get brand new DOJ cups from somewhere - maybe call up that place in Florida. I doubt that GCK would do anything custom. They are just a huge OEM manufacturer - they don't rebuild axles, they just make new ones somewhere in china.

I'll try GCK tomorrow, just couldn't remember if that was the place or if there was somewhere else that would do them custom for me.

Have you tried that place in Denver yet? MWE axles, I believe is right next door to CCR. Heard some good things about their axles as well!
