MY series rear bumpers - common across Brat and ??

Featured Replies

Quick - hopefully easy - question:

Is the rear bumper for a MY Brat shared with any other MY body style (wagon, coupe, etc) ? My Brat has only the corner pieces, and I'd like to put a complete bumper on from an '82 Leone if it will fit.

TIA.

Dean.

Nope. The Brat's bumper has a notch in it that allows the tail gate to sit flat when its open. If you dont have a tail gate, then you might be able to get away with running a bumper from a wagon/sedan.

actually, the notch/cutout is on the lower part of the bumper to allow for a place to mount the license plate. so if you just want a bumper, and aren't worrined about ground clearance in the rear, you could get a MY bumper from a 4wd wagon, and put the Brat Ends on it, and just mount the license plate to the lower section of bumper.... or mount the license plate to the tailgate if you have one....

Brumby's in AUS didn't have rear bumpers. Just the end peices. At least that's what I've always seen in the pictures, and it was discussed on here a few years ago.
