PCI timing belt kit off of eBay...Any Good?

Featured Replies

Want to know if anybody has used a timing belt kit brand name PCI. Prefered conponents inc. I found the kit for my loyale for $59, compared to $250 or so at various auto stores. Thanks for any insite!

I bought and used the kit.

Can't say much because I ran into a pole after 5000 miles.

5000 miles with no problem? It fit up good? Sounds OK to me, I'm not sure what to think about the price differance though. I just ordered my kit. Thanks.

i have one of those kits that i never used brand new. bought it but then went with an EJ swap.

i will sale it to you for $50.00 shipped to your door. can send out day after christmas...

Being that the belts only last about 50 to 60k anyway, I would go with the cheap kit, and then use dealer belts. Save the cheap belts for spares. I can't see you haveing problems with the cheap tensioners and idler - not in 60k anyway.

Leave your covers off though - in case they really are crap, it won't be hard to change them.

If this was for 106K i would strongly suggest an OE timing belt, but for 60K (and only 60K) it should be ok. Google the mfg and see what comes up.

The only disturbing thing is its attraction to telephone poles
