I have an 88 subaru DL ea82 that needs new cv axles. I need to know if I need 23 spline or 25 spline axles. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

take them out or loosen them up so you can count them is the best way to do it. Should i guess this is your only car.

i've gotten the wrong ones a few times. you can also call the dealers part department and ask.

If its turbo, 25 splines.

Non-Turbo, 23 splines.

WHen you get them dont leave the store (if thats where your buying them from) without counting the splines. It will save you a trip or two (don't ask how I know)

I believe it`s 23, but is Better Idea to Take `em Out and Count...

I'm with Nipper: count em at the store. You'll be pissed when your 23 spline axle in a 23 spline box spins the roll pin as you back out of your driveway because it was really a 25 spline. Then you've gotta do it all over again and the parts store guys will just shrug their shoulders and give you another axle.
