GeneralDisorder
You don't need a drill press - just a cheap variable speed 3/8" drill will do it. Use a small bit for a pilot hole, and then go with the larger bit. Taper the holes if you feel like it using a dremel. GD
Sweet82
These were over a half inch thick and I adapted them to 4X140 with a hand drill. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=1386&cat=500&perpage=12&sort=3&ppuser=584 Just measure correctly the first time and keep the holes vertical. Not complicated. Someone had a template you could print off then overlay but I can't find the thread...
Turbone
Bring them with you when you come to pick up the rear brakes.
4x4_Welder
Are those rail wheels that you drilled out?
