Hey,

Does anyone know whether a 1995 Outback(Spelled AWD Legacy L Wagon) would have the OBD-I or OBD-II?

Thanks,

Fat Tony

Pretty sure that's an OBDII, because the '95 2.2 is a frequent donor to '96-98 Outbacks w/the 2.5. Everyone says it "bolts right up" - including all the wiring.

Thanks. I found an article that tells how to read error codes on 91 - 94 Legacy's. For anything newer it said to use an OBD-II scanner. But the OBD-II Scannerss I'm finding all start with 1996 MY Legacy's. Heres the link BTW...

Thanks again!:headbang:

See if your '95 has the ODBII connector. It probably does. Subaru started to roll out ODBII in '95MY since it was required on '96MY anyway. The '95 may have a few flukes/bugs.

Most ODBII scanners are going to say '96 on up since that's when it was required and they don't have to worry about other makes that might not have started ODBII earlier than that.
