RBGERSON
I have a 99 outback limited with the stock CD player no stack just a single disk player. Well, it started spitting the disk back out without playing them. It this this once before, so I sprayed into the slot with some compressed air and it fixed it. I assumed dirty heads. This no luck with the spraying it with compressed air. First any other things to try without taking anything apart. Second how hard is and what has to come off/out of the dash to get the unit out and is it something one should attempt in their garage? jamal
It's very easy to remove and replace. Pretty much any other Subaru radio will swap right in, and used WRX 6-disc changers go for $40-80. If you remove the cupholder and ashtray you should be able to see the small screws holding the trim in place.
