a strange sight

Featured Replies

I saw this almost 2 months ago but didn't mention it til now.

I was driving to work when I saw a brown EA82 wagon driving the opposite direction. It was pulling a rather large camper behind it, about a foot wider than the car on both sides. As it got closer I though "Wait....no.... no way.... is that?" Yes. The little Soob was not pulling the camper at all but indeed had the roof behind the driver's seat removed and the camper permanently attached to it. It was a hillarious thing to see.

We don't have safety inspections for older cars in Oregon, and it's a good thing. Or maybe a bad thing. If I ever see it again and I have my camera I'll snap a pic.

I wonder if it's the same brown EA82 wagon convertable I've seen before?

I saw someone that did that to an old Olds Vista Cruiser, with the raised "bubble" in the rear... (Except this one had an equally ghetto camper as the "Bubble")

Aww man, Why would you do that to a Loyale or any Roo???

But i would like to see a pic of that hillarious thing!

misledxcracker and I both want to do this, actually. It would make the perfect go-anywhere driftermobile.. a GREAT one or two person travel vehicle. Got the 4WD, enough power, enough economy...

Strange, but I think it would be more enjoyable to work on than a toyota personally, and that is the next best commercially available option.

Ahhhhhhhhh you "younger fellas".

Likely some "old guy" got a welder for Christmas, and turned two pieces of junk into one, there is no telling what a demented old man (with a new toy) will weld up (so speaks a "old fella" with a Chrysler V-6 motorcycle).

There is one of these type creations near me, made out of a "K" car/trailer combo, hand painted (with a brush) to boot!
