September 13, 200718 yr That right there.....is automotive porn :slobber: extremely nice work. I hope to pull the engine out of my car next summer and do a bottom up rebuild, and something much like what you've done!

September 13, 200718 yr This is in offroad... That means your gonna get that thing dirty?!?! hahahaha well....I think since the title of the picture is "buggy engine" that's a pretty safe bet!
September 13, 200718 yr your buggy is going to have A/C how nice, purdy engine though mines covered in oil
September 13, 200718 yr Author The engine is going into a buggy alot like the ones in my pictures. Getting ready to clean up the D/R and attach it then a transfer case and some lock in lock out hubs and I'll be ready to go.
September 14, 200718 yr Looking good. I looked up a front and rear and a D/R, the shifter pretty good shape. Maybe you can adapt the legacy shifter to the D/R. Don't know haven't looked at the legacy shifter yet.
September 17, 200718 yr holy power batman! The EJ22 is normally good for full bodied cars.Your putting one in a buggy...I dunno my offroading style doesnt require gobs of power..But it is usefull. The motor is really clean.Ive dreamt of having a clean shinny engine, but between oil leaks and road grime/mud its almost impossible!
September 18, 200718 yr Author Yea but it'll look good till then after the first mud pit I could give a crap.....I like to clean them up anyway and replace all the belts and gaskets. Sometimes I start painting and I can't help myself.
September 25, 200718 yr Author The engine is finally done, on the pallet, loaded in the truck and ready for transport to West Virginia this weekend for the "WV boys" to start working their magic. I can't take all the credit for the hard work the little guy in the pic did his fair share. "no work no ride" http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=17363&size=big&cat=500
