i have a 1979 subaru wagon that has 56,000 miles on it. it sat for 5 years with out being driven. i have had the carb rebuilt, new gas tank and a few other things. i had driven it maybe 50 miles and it lost about half of it power...any thoughts on what it might be?

after sitting for 5 years...could be lots of things. carb is the first thing that pops in my head, but sounds like you're confident that is not the problem? have you tried spraying starter fluid in there while cranking? fuel filter and ignition (plugs, wires, cap rotor) come to mind. vacuum hoses are a good thing to check too.

 

if you have a compression tester might want to see what you get.

If it Ran Good for around 50 Miles and then Lost Half of its Power, all that after five Years sat... Could it Have a Clogged Exhaust? Because seems like Something is getting Hard to Move...

Have you Checked the Vacuum Lines?
