Like some opinions on best oil for EA81 1800's?

20w50 Castrol GTX. I usually alternate between a quart of Rislone and half a quart of MMO with my oil changes. I make it a habit of changing the oil every 2k or so.....

I use NAPA (Valvoline in a cheaper wrapper) 10W30 in my EA82 - don't like to use the thicker stuff in small engines. You get a little better mileage with the thinner oil, too!

The main impression I carried out of the discussion is that everyone has to make up their own mind, "invent" an opinion to the best of their liking and knowledge and call it good.

And of course, religiously change the oil (duh)...
