August 29, 200817 yr Sorry if this has been posted before, but I stumbled on this while researching tie rod replacement. I already downloaded the file; it's pretty big (50Mb+). At first glance it looks like the same manual you'd get through SOA. Kindof a pain since all the files are broken up into individual non-descript pdf's with names like "MSA5TCD00L17482.pdf". Whatever, I'll take it! Direct Download here Username: manual-01; Password: monsterenergy Or goto the main page here
February 26, 200917 yr Sorry for digging up this old post but I'm wondering if the 2002 service manual will work for my 1998 Imp OBS with EJ22 in it. Thanks!
February 26, 200917 yr pretty sure all 2002's are EJ25, so that won't work. there were also some OBS design changes in 02 as well, so some things might be off. you can check cars101.com to find when engine/body style changes took place.
February 26, 200917 yr So I went to http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/index.jsp for my 1998 Imp OBS service manual. On the "Reference Publication" tab on top, under 1998, there are Impreza and Outback Sport. Anyone knows which one should I choose? Thanks! Vincent
February 26, 200917 yr Another potential download site is: http://pdftown.com/Subaru-PDF-eBook-Category.html it get's a bit wonky, so you might have to try a couple of times to get download to start.
February 27, 200917 yr I downloaded the 1997 - 1998 service manual but it only has the 4 dr sedan with 2.0l turbo. So it's not quite similar to my OBS. Vincent
February 27, 200917 yr How 'bout this one, any closer: Subaru Legacy Outback 2002 Service Manual http://pdftown.com/PDF-Subaru-Legacy-Outback-2002-Service-Manual.html
January 2, 201016 yr I got annoyed by all those separate files, and for whatever reason the password didnt work so i couldnt merge them all. soi printed the thing out at work. not realizing some of the files were 500 pages long! I ended up with this! still need to create an index page for each section but you get the idea.
January 3, 201016 yr They're gonna wonder why that toner cartridge ran out so fast. And that's why service manuals are digital these days. Can you imagine a dealership having a service manual like that for every year of every vehicle they service? They would have a library the size of Texas!
January 3, 201016 yr They're gonna wonder why that toner cartridge ran out so fast. And that's why service manuals are digital these days. Can you imagine a dealership having a service manual like that for every year of every vehicle they service? They would have a library the size of Texas! fortunately i did them 2 sided, or it would probably be about 40% bigger!! the whole room stunk of toner after about 3 hours of printing constantly. Luckily no one needed the copier/printer, 2 sided printing takes 2x as long. booo. yeah a dealer havin all cars/models books like that would suck!
January 3, 201016 yr wow that is crazy. 2 sided printing takes 2x as long. booo. sometimes more than 2x since the printer pauses a bit to allow the ink to dry before feeding the second side.
January 4, 201016 yr wow that is crazy. sometimes more than 2x since the printer pauses a bit to allow the ink to dry before feeding the second side. thats true, the only delay in the printing is when the page is flipped over, so now that i think about it, its probably like 3x for double sided when you include the turnover.
January 6, 201016 yr Wouldnt 96-99 have just about the same manual? if so.. have you tried searching for a 96-98?
