All warning lights on all the time

Featured Replies

All of my dash warning lights are dim not bright (on). The brake light is off.

Alternator belt is snug and shunt to ground is good. Any suggestions?

I say that your alternator is failing

We just replaced the hose under the alternator. We got coolant in the alternator. Do you think it will dry?

could have shorted internally... or the VR is shot. Check your voltage at the battery with the engine running. Rev the engine up and see if the voltage goes over 14.7 (nominal VR setting) if it keeps rising then your problem is there.

If it doesn't go up from a baseline of approx 12v then your alt isn't putting out.

sometimes, the most important things are left out in posts. more info the better.

Replace your alternator. Do it before you get stranded on the side of the road.

Yeah -- measure your voltage -- if it's below 13.5 or so replace the alt -- I bet the alternator is not charging for some reason, as this is the classic display you see when it fails. For some reason...

Typical symptom of diode trio failure in the alternator. Replace it with a wrecking yard one or have it rebuilt by someone local.

Which car; I likely have a working alternator for you.

Thanks cobcob...all dash lights are back to the out position. Alternator VR was out.

Quicsam

Still have Check engine light. Disconnected battery to clear CE light. I get no long flash an 1 short flash. Haynes manual said it is Designation codes MPFI systems code 01 (MT, 49 States and Canada vehicle.)

I still have a random miss during idle that sometimes shows up as slight or rough at idle.
