If I was to put a subaru or any other unibody car on a solid axle toyota frame,How much would that lift said subaru/unibody? With the stock tires on the toyota running gear. I have access to a toyota 4x4 solid axle rolling chassie. So just wondering...

You would have a stock toyota with a subaru body on it. If you don't lift it, it would just look like a toyota pickup with a subaru body.

its huge.where you run into issues is with the body mounts on the toyota frame,you almost just want to weld crossbars from side to side.but then it is really ridiculous.it takes a little finesse to get it to match up right as it sits.

 

but if a guy were to shorten it in the center where the transfer case crossmember was, it would be easier maybe.

 

it is defenitely fabbing eve3rything.nothing matches up.i got it all lined up and attached at a couple of points then got rid of that project.cheers, brian

To make it sit any lower than in that photo, you would have to cut out a lot of the unibody/uniframe. Guys used to do that with Ford Pintos when I was growing up, and ran into the same issue.

so then it should be able to clear 33"s then?was that frame lifted any to start with?
