January 2, 200917 yr Im looking to spray paint my wagon an army flat green, Im going to sand, primer, and paint, but i cant find a flat green paint! only primer. So was wondering what brand of paint has the best selection and durability. Looked into CARC but it's way to complicated for my painting skills lol.
January 2, 200917 yr Our local Home Depot has a full line of flat paint designed for doing camo on stuff. All typical camo colors. I think it's probably krylon stuff? EDIT -- I might be thinking of McGuckins's hardware though, come to think of it. They carry alot more than Home Despot does. I'll stop by at lunch and see what brand it is at least, though so maybe you could look it up. Z
January 2, 200917 yr befriend the local bodyshop painter; drop off random 6 packs of beer every so often with from your name on them first. then after a few weeks of leaving 6 packs, go introduce yourself and see how that goes.
January 3, 200917 yr Rustoleum specialty Camflauge paint is what what the store here carries in spray cans. $5.99 each. I've used the similar rustoleum stuff for painting cars, and the problem is that it oxidizes after a year in the colorado sun, and is matte and slightly faded on the surface, instead of glossy... but that should not be a problem with the flat camo stuff....
January 3, 200917 yr look at Van Sickle Enamel!! http://www.vansicklepaint.com/miscproducts/camo.html http://www.vansicklepaint.com/
January 3, 200917 yr I have used a "flat acrilic latex exterior house paint", you can get it custom mixed at home depot to any color , Ive had it on my car now for 7 years. of course you have to wet sand with 600 grit paper and use lacquer thinner to remove any wax or oil , proper surface prep is essential.
January 4, 200917 yr BTWIts called O.D. Green. That may help with a search. -Jaren And O.D. stands for olive drab. Which may help in the search. There is no overdose green, but there is an overdsoe blue.
January 5, 200917 yr And O.D. stands for olive drab. Which may help in the search. There is no overdose green, but there is an overdsoe blue. Why thank you. I knew that, just didnt add it into there. Bomber Tan/Coyote Tan is also a cool military flat color.

January 6, 200917 yr Author Did you use primer? or did you just sand over with 600 grit the factory paint?
