Mine is still working but this fall I had to use the hammer handle trick on it to get it started again. The pump from Subaru is quite expensive and some aftermarkets are not to far away in price. Frank B Posted January 15, 2009 Share Posted January 15, 2009 Well, check the repair manual or search here to find the fuel pressure needed. Yours should be SPFI, so around 40-50 psi? I can't remember. Then just find a universal electric fuel pump to put in it's place that puts out the same. Like this one for Fords, in the 80's and early 90's ford used these for both in tank and inline(on the frame). You just have to make sure you get on with the brass hose barbs on each end, and not on that has the filter sock on it(in tank installation). presslab Posted January 15, 2009 Share Posted January 15, 2009 I have that Ford pump in my EA82T pushing 15 PSI boost with no problems; I set my static fuel pressure to 60 PSI, up from stock of 36 PSI.
