tribeca struts on a 1991 legacy

Featured Replies

can i fit tribeca struts on a 1991 legacy. i know the stock tires are taller on the tribeca and the struts are longer r, will they mount to the knuckles.

doubtful.

tribeca is sort of like the STi and SVX and, Justy is to Subaru.

Tribeca, shares same wheel lug pattern as the SVX and 05-09 STi, but other parts are not really Legacy derived. Its Subarus little weirdness they always do every so often, similar to the justy, the svx, and well, the tribeca.

what makes them a subaru.

they do use the larger 5x114.3 lug pattern (compared to your 5x100 on your legacy). so I suspect they use the same (or similar) knuckles as the '05+ STis (which are also 5x114.3). which I know is not compatible with 5x100 stuff.

also, I don't remember. does the tribeca use struts in the back? or multilink and coilover shocks like the legacies and '08+ imps. if it's the multilink, then the rears will definitely not work, in any way, at all :)

long story short, maybe. but there are so many other options that will work much better. what are you looking to do with your car? lift it?

I highly doubt the tribeca stuff is any longer than outback stuff.

do you have outback springs on there too? those will yield a bit of lift as well.

They use a bigger version of the EZ motor, I think EZ36? So there is at least something in common! haha

that sux i was looking at the allied lift, it seemed a lot better than the sjr lift. you can try the forester front struts they should match your rear struts.

The thing is, Allied makes and sells lots of different stuff, SJR is Subaru specific, he only builds stuff for Subys, so that's where I would go, he's also a member on here

thats good to know does he supply a full kit or do i need to make a few parts or have to get diff. struts?

Did you ever find any info on the tribeca struts? I'm interested in the same thing. I figured they would be a bit taller, and have more dampening than forester or outback struts. I want to put together a OEM rally suspension on the cheap.
