Scoobywagon
I'm not sure what a code 35 is, but it sure sounds like you have a fuel problem. I assume you've already changed the fuel filter, but what about the pump? Had the injectors cleaned?
xoomer
its doing the same thing it did when i bought it. crap in the tank ( I think ) I did a filter and the gas looked clear but it didn't seem pressurized.and the pressure shouldn't back down should it? cause it had been off since I got to work.... I have already replaced the CTS and the Purge Control Solonoid (thats the code 35) but it still pulls it. is it possible the pump is going out and not giving me enough psi
zyewdall
It sounds like a classic case of insufficient fuel delivery -- my Justy does that when it's low on fuel and sucking air -- it'll cut out on corners... then cut back in just as suddenly. A new fuel pump might be good to try, if the filter and all looks good. My truck does that same behavior when the filter clogs -- surging and cutting out -- tank was full of rust. I wonder if you might have run too much dirt through the pump and damaged it (depending on how bad the fuel tank was).
xoomer
Well it lasted it a exactly a year if it was the crap in the tank... I'm gonna get a fuel pump if I have one at work today to put in tommorrow.. and I'll drop the tank... but the thing I don't understand is that it doesn't do it until it warms up.... But the other thing is that when i did the fuel filter I was expecting to get fuel spray.. I didn't just kinda drip drip pour and the gas looked clean... no color tints to it at all...... Any More Ideas?
Gloyale
Clean the MAF, tighten all connections between it and the Throttle body.

Any More Ideas? Hmmm. I'm thinking an intermittent wire to something in the ignition system maybe (even the fuel pump, but could also be the coil or MAF or whatever....) ????? That sounds like it might be more temp affected than the fuel pump would be. Still doesn't quite sound like it though....
xoomer
Good news.. I think its just a case of extremely bad gas because I'm almost to e now after putting in $20 in premium and a can of heet. because now its idleing ok, and its not as bad as it was... so Tomorrow I'm gonna work on my legacy for a few hours and then I'm dropping the tank... And I'm gonna clean it out... and check the pump... What I'm thinking is the filter/screen that is in the tank will suck up all the sediment/crap after a little while of driving and then when I shut it off it and the sediment/crap will drop down and allow me to drive ok when it starts. akc
mine only runs on premium does anyone else have that problem. it cuts out when you put regular in. We changed the fuel filters thinking it was dirty gas but they were clean.

Turbone
I have had no problem up until this using ARCO regular gas... This was a ************co 711 gas Station... in Vancouver washington... I just heard a report on King 5 news tonight about bad gas in WA. So far this year, they already have 16 complaints compared to 50 last year. It has to do with the ethanol blend. http://www.king5.com/localnews/stories/NW_022209WAB-bad-gasoline-SW.3fb46030.html I was a victim of this last month in my RX and I know of someone else whose car is sitting right no because of it. may Have found the Unicorn... 88RxTuner
Is condensation a possibility? Water can condense on the inside of the fuel tank overnight, and being heavier than fuel will sink to the pump pickup area after a little bit of sloshing around.. Could *possibly* explain why it only does it after a little while. Hopefully the new gas solves your problem! Perhaps look into the possibility of water in your fuel, I dont know for sure how you could prevent that, tho.. 88RxTuner
