EA-82T Mods?

Featured Replies

EJ swap is out of the question. Currently running a EA-82 SPFI with a 5spd single range tranny. I was thinking of dropping in a rebuilt EA-82T and doing some mods for some more power, my goal would be around 130-145hp. Would it be possible? Ive heard stock computer can handle around 12 psi is that correct?

it would be a daily driver. BTW I have a brand new aluminum radiador currently in it as I hear overheating is the main issue with EA-82T so I might be able to add a second fan considering I dont have any AC

This is what I had in mind:

  1. Top or front mount intercooler
  2. BOV
  3. Raise Boost psi
  4. Maybe raise fuel pressure?
  5. Well done 2.5" exhuast to go with it
  6. Anything else I would need?

Do yourself a favor and leave the BOV off your list. If you're lucky you can find a used WRX intercooler that still has the BPV on it. The mods you listed should get you close to your power goal.

The best radiator you can lay your hands on. Dual core, copper/brass. Or, dual core aluminum. Doug
