TheLoyale
I have a 94 Loyale wagon and lost gas cap. Checked at local parts store and was told they have vented and vacuum style Which is correct one? Thanks Well the fuel system on the EA82/Loyale is not vaccum. Meaning it can run with out the gas cap. some vehicles now days have that, if the cap is not on the system can not build pressure and will not run. But if you listen when you take the cap off after you've been driving, you will hear a vaccum suck (Like opening a soda bottle) so that would mean theres some pressure in the system, and from what I remember seeing on my stock subaru cap, there are no vents. so I would say (Vaccum) is your choice. Not 100% but pretty sure -Tom
GeneralDisorder
They are non-vented. Vented cap's went out when the EPA mandated evaporative emissions systems. The tank vents though the charcoal cannister. GD
