July 15, 200916 yr Author it has started thanks Soobiedoo might call this one "the Red Barron" got the car in the shop its my original Red one and all the doors fenders hood and glass removed looks like its going to get a 4" lift , wondering how short I should go on the wheelbase, what do you guys think?
July 15, 200916 yr Gonna be sweet. May I suggest a relocation of the radiator for better approach angle? Just figuring if you are gonna do all that may as well address one of the biggest Soob flaws for wheeling. (though with the lift and swampers it gets helped out alot) Alot on my plate these days but if I was closer I'd be down to lend a hand here and there. I'll just have to watch though.

July 15, 200916 yr plan to mount the rad where the spare tire was Kinda figured if you were going that far you proly were already planning to relocate it. but I just thought I mention it. Awesome.
July 16, 200916 yr Author here we go cars all stripped now ready to build back up got a good ea82 in there , going to go with my 4" lift kit for this one
July 16, 200916 yr wondering how short I should go on the wheelbase, what do you guys think? leave it as a 4-seater... and leave just enough in the back to hang mud flaps and a bumper...
July 16, 200916 yr You could put a brat jumpseat in place of the rear to help lighten. good idea, and raise it up a little so the passengers get a good view...
July 16, 200916 yr Author I have a rear samuai seat I plan on using and looks like a 18" shortening job so about 78-80" wheelbase
July 17, 200916 yr Author Its a little further than that now Scott!!! Jeff OK got the 4" lift in the front and chopped the back off
July 17, 200916 yr Looks good, Scott...but isn't that bottom cut a little crooked It'll look great with the tailgate on there!
July 17, 200916 yr Author Looks good, Scott...but isn't that bottom cut a little crooked It'll look great with the tailgate on there! I tried out that red paint you brought , its almost the same will be good for the cut edges and weldsm I decided to use the stock front door , it will be gutted and top trimmed down so basically just a skin with hinges and latch
