May 11, 201114 yr Or a CD for like $5, that's what I have. Not as convenient as the hard copy to carry around, but it is cheap and gets the job done right.
May 11, 201114 yr http://www.main.experiencetherave.com/subaru_manual_scans/ The one for 97 does not have a section for the SOHC engine if that's what you're working on. But 99 is the same setup, and the 99 FSM has the SOHC engine section.
May 11, 201114 yr I'd caution on using the '99 specs as it's the Phase 2 2.2, based on what I've read. Likely the same but be aware. GL, TD

May 12, 201114 yr *ahem* I have a shop manual for 1998 that is PDF (same as 97). It has duplicate pages in it but otherwise is fine. Contact me off list.
