You'll need transmission, front axles, driveshaft, rear: subframe, diff, axles, and hubs.

It would be a fairly involved conversion, but not impossible. Just bolt on bolt off stuff.

And I don't know if a fwd legacy has a carrier bearing support, you may have to weld one to your car. The FWD gl doesn't have it.

you also need the TCU to control the transfer clutch. i don't know if adding a AWD TCU will do it. when swapping back the other way in the later 90s, you always end up with a TCU trouble code. the TCU is look for the rear speed sensor. and i have heard it suggested that the harness tells the TCU / ECU if the car is FWD or AWD. not sure.

but regardless, in addition to the hardware you need the brain to control it.

you may also need the gas tank, not sure if they are different.

much easier to put your engine into the AWD car.

Are the front axles interchangeable?  I had read on here that the FWD axles had a different spline count.  If its only different on the engine side I guess it wouldn't matter.

I wish my car was AWD.  I thought about converting it, but at this point I'd be better off getting another car.
