  1. well i figured out a way to make it happen. i used 2 keyless modules. one keyless module is allowed to see the locking system but not allowed to talk tot he security module the other keyless module is allowed to talk to the security but not the locks. power locks now work and i can arm/disarm the factory alarm using my remote starter fob.
  2. Yep, always check the radiator level when cold in the radiator as well as the overflow tank. I picked up a used Subaru some years ago. Overflow was full and full of black oily stuff. Radiator took over a gallon. When I started it with the radiator cap off it looked like Old Faithful. If the PO didn't know about the issue, I consider the engine junk as them most likely have overheated the main bearings.
  3. Gas analyzer will confirm it. Chemical block test sometimes works but sometimes gives false negatives (says it’s fine but it’s bad) drive it until it gets worse or you notice Coolant loss. It’ll get worse and be obvious then. Should take a few weeks or months. its old, they fail, but they’re also super easy to replace. head bolts are all external and overall that’s a tiny engine Super easy to install new gaskets
  4. I second that- I would replace the flexible brake line on that side as I've heard about the lining collapsing. I had 2 calipers do this on my Legacy GT but the 3rd caliper is doing OK since I replaced the line
  5. could be a bent pin or swollen rubber 'damper' causing it to bind. Although extremely rare - there have been cases of hydraulic lines having an internal lining fail such that a 'flap' is created that acts like a check valve.
  6. Yes, when changing ride height, the "correct" procedure is to loosen the bolt for any bushing that twists around the bushing during travel and retorque it at ride height.
