  1. I think we were in the crossover period about year 2000, so may have been a voluntary thing on Subaru's part back prior to year 2000. I am wondering if anyone has an updated method of tapping into the SSM to read all the live data available via the SSM port - there are some old posts talking about free SSM and using a serial port for laptop input. I no longer have anything more than USB input, so might expext a serial port adaptor to USB ??? Mind reader adapter would be better
  2. disconnect the exhaust before the cat(s) and do a very noisy test drive up hills and down.
  3. In this market, it was mandated to be OBDII in 96, some cars were compatible in 95, I THINK some Nissan was in 94?
  4. I would say, if you’re wanting to do the EJ swap sooner than expected, go with the nitrous. At least you should have some fun before the swap.
