  1. Will give details later on the 84 GL EA81 4spd D/R rust free 92k mile wagon.
  2. If you had oil there, there is a good chance the oil has swelled the rubber end of the plug wire, and if it is swelled and deformed, you should replace that too as they will not seat properly
  3. Me, thinking alternator Dennis put on is bad.
  4. Me Yelling at GUIDO again.
  5. Omg those rims are hell If someone needs a carfax you do NOT need to pay you can plug the vin in in replacement of a url for a dealer near you just click a recent vin check on a local dealer and then substitute your vin needed those rims made me vomit all over. omg i barfed lots on just thse rims.
  6. well check for what isnt supposed to be hooked up under hood. I still have a few of these under my watch at junkyards, although one has a dual range spd and it has a tach I am tired of nothing. infact, I am getting 2 D/R this week to replace my one GT wagon the Ben car was fine until what. he had - a bad alternator -he changed the valve covers and -then the problem GET A GOOD ALTERNATOR ON IT, the one he has IS JUNK. then replace the ECU omg I am pissed, we know he has a bad alternator, it fried stuff so relplace the ecu it fried, and get aknow good alt on it. I can drive the 60 miles one way, throw in a ecu,AND "good "Alternator, and, likely, drive it home. YES PISSED OFF AT THOSE WHO DONT CHANGE THE ALTERNATOR FIrst to known good. go ahead fry some mre ecu and not check the connectors under hood too
  7. hard to tell, my eye is cheers. looks like you got a metal plate. metal can be sealed again with sealant and be good. If you have plastic plate, then no you throw it away to the trash, then get a metal one. plastic-throw a way metal - good to reuse reason i say you have metal is cause all the plastic crap i saw in yellow. I hate plastic crap.
  8. placed bid, gonna get it or not. 4spd DR need a wagon got a 120 pound dog and a 55 pound dog,, wagon it is.
  9. they cover them with wheel condom saran wrap so they dont get all spirted.
  10. I might get on the online dealers now to order wheels, oh wait, not yet lol. are they 5x100 or 5 x 115?
  11. My parents have ordered the fronts on their 290k mile 06 outback. 62 each for KYB Gr-2. old ones are DEAD. oil dripping has basically sludged the outer part of the shock from it leaking out. DEAD i say at 290k. http://www.ajusa.com for about the best price, you can get the part number there, and compare prices at rock auto and at amazon. Rock auto charges for shipping, AJUSA is free ship. Amazon if you have prime is maybe 1 dollar less if you have prime. otherwise http://www.ajusa.com is the best price since shipping is free most people say tirerack but the prices still do not beat ajusa again, AJUSA, I get most of my K@N and KYBstuff there, those are the limits i have bought. ajusa.com has a nice sight, easy to find your parts, it is easy checkout, etc. never an issue.
  12. BRZ is here. this is a photo in Twin Cities today. 2 blue and one white.
  13. Agree, rear main leave it alone. change the rear separater cover to the right. engine spin is pulling the oil dripping off it, and putting it where you see the accumulation area center bottom.
  14. the pyles, could be sprayed to black...have mixed reviews as well but for 20 not bad to try. I could get a set to try out in my home and report back. actually, I think i will do just that.
  15. http://www.amazon.com/PLMR24-3-5-Inch-Weather-Speaker-System/dp/B001CXXDBM/ref=pd_cp_e_0 this http://www.amazon.com/Boss-AVA6200-4-Ohm-3-Way-Speaker/dp/B0002VMV2M/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1327461146&sr=8-10 everything i am going for is so u have sound but not to cause issues of theft. http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-2022SX-Watts-Speaker-System/dp/B000CC1Q4K/ref=pd_sim_e_1 read reviews, some are probab;y worse than cranking up headphones and letting them be on the side seat
  16. They see anything small like those single surface mount, they will pass on bye. They something nice big shiny and thumpy, they say, oh yeah, amp, big nice sub, and a pricey headunit, smash window, trash, break dash, grab, run. I have been the side that got my stuff ripped off, several times in the old crx, now i have no radio and the back cargo cover is off the car, they can see in and see no woofer, no radio. I get no broken windows.
  17. Another option might be some old bose 102, but you would have to research impedance ohms for auto use to see if they would work, and those might be something the thieves would snatch and smash your car to get.
  18. Yeah i just want housings too, no loaded speaker, but for a decent price. those housings are perfect for my Gl hatchback sides rear, the Brat behind the seats, and my Civic hatch and CRX.........small, conspicuous, and mount well....
  19. cause those speakers are nearly as old as when i was in elementray school. like said, replace the woofers with some polks. And, that ebay price is NOT good at all, you could buy 3 sets for that price when they were available here.
  20. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pioneer-TS-44-Full-Range-Surface-Mount-Car-Speakers-/200692887169?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item2eba3a6e81#ht_547wt_835 those were okay, although i would drop in a polk woofer in place of the pioneer. Stuff the back inside with some old pillow stuffing, then apply some rope caulking on the bottom to make them airtight for best bass response. Not too many theives go for simple stuff these days.
  21. You have likely blown headgaskets, the exhaust gases are mixing into the coolant chambers and blowing your exhaust gases out the overflow, instead of out the tailpipe. Your engine is not supposed to do that one. was there any recent coolant flushing? You could have a bad cap, or a trapped air bubble, but repetedly buddling out the overflow is bad. Change your radiator cap with a new one to start. On a cold car, fill the radiator, and put coolant in the overflow to the mark. Start car. Let warm up like 5 minutes, then pop hood, and open cap to the overflow jar. Look down in with a flashlight. Do you see lots of bubbles when the car is running?
  22. Always keep the original parts. Sometimes, the new stuff aftermarket is worse than old cruddy looking oem stuff, and it is beneficial to have old used oem stuff to try. Coil packs, well, it is probably fine, but WAY overpriced, can you get your money back on it? your diamond pack is most likely just fine. Your plug wires, well get ngk or oem, and yes NGK V power standard copper.
  23. I buy all my coils at the junkyard, used oem of coarse, usually about 10 bucks for each coil, got a STACk of them, but no extra good wires, hard to find good used oem wires, I usually get the ngk wire on amazon new when they are on sale.
  24. The most recent 94 legacy i got, someone thru some crap autostore plug wires on it, and there were a couple ends that wouldn't "snap/click" onto the end of the plug right. In fact, when i went to look at the car, the owner before me said it had a miss. I looked, saw the new "junk" plug wires on it, and snapped the one end on the plug, it cleared the miss up. Then a few days later, same thing happened under my ownership, plug wirecomes off the spark plug. Go with NGK plugs, and either OEM plug wires, or NGK plug wires. And I have had a few other legacy's that had some junk wires on it, and would get some hesitation and not spectacular mileage. Change the wires to oem used even, no issues. I am one who scavenges for the cars people have problems with, then put them back to stock for stuff like plugs and wires, and then they run good again. Then I sell them and do it all over again. I see many Legacy's with crap autostore wires on them. buy them cheap when they misfire and run poor.
