  1. Thanks Bennie, Yes, that's what I'm doing. I have the o-rings as well and was able to get them new from the dealer. All I had to go on was this diagram
  2. Had some time to do some work today on the GL. Got the axle out of the way for my axle stub seal replacement, ordered a knock-off of the sundial gear socket and did a test run on this spare transmission that I have. Looking at, still not sure how I'm supposed to get this center seal out. I did knock out the ball joints on it and I'm so glad I bought this Astro socket several years ago.
  3. Next on the agenda is replacing the axle stub seal on the driver side. I was able to get the seals from a dealer and they showed up yesterday along with a new alternator mount bolt.
  4. I really appreciate the insight. Thank you. I been out of the EA game for a long time and I been trying to get back up to speed on current part-trends.
  5. Well, I stand corrected. I swear last time I checked it, it was available in stock. Ding-dang.
  6. Looks like the most available and cheapest model is the one from RockAuto: https://shorturl.at/IpZnH The one that's installed isn't terrible but it's definitely got a drip from the endtank. Radiator shops don't exist anymore around here or I would have it repaired. I'm sure a splash of stopleak would be great if someone was wanting to half-rump roast it and sell it.
  7. Threw the Brat wheels on last night and cleaned out the massive buildup for road grime on the fuel filler neck. I had this same problem on an 95 Outback and it rusted it out. I also found some wiper pins online so I could replace the originals that said Made in Japan. I assume people just kept doing the refills but I hate those things.
  8. If you can find it, please share the part number of the radiator you ordered so I know to avoid it.
  9. Picked up 5, spoked wagon wheels last night from a guy in Nashville that came off his BringATrailer Brat. Got a great deal as the tires are like new and Kuhmos. Dude even hooked me up with the spare tire retaining screw that I was missing. I was sad to see the retaining plastic rings are discontinued from Subaru. Guess I'm going to have to find someone to 3D print me some. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1024984#files
  10. So, what does most people use for the overflows now? Mt. Dew bottle zipped into place? Rather use something that looks somewhat factory.
  11. Wow, did not realize they were heavier.
  12. You're not the only one. I fortunately, didn't spend much time directly under the brats that I owned. If anyone has any spare parts, shoot me a PM.
  13. Got the rear wheel bearing changed today. Freddo was right, they're like a boat trailer. I got one of the hatch struts replaced but the previous owner lost the brackets where they mount on the driver side to the body so I'm needing a set if anyone is selling. Also discovered I have a leaking transmission axle stub seal. Glad I threw a long cardboard box under it in the shop.
  14. Thanks for the link. I'm not sure if those will work on mine, those look to use a screw to attach. Mine use those c-clips to hold it to the regulator itself.
  15. Ahh, I got ya now. I didn't see your location.
  16. Which L-series are you referring to? Legacy L/Brighton?
  17. I think it's where it's got the dealer add-on AC system. I have another wiring harness that came with this from a non-AC model and it doesn't have that fuse.
  18. So, what are my options on window cranks? I've got a couple that have suffered the effects of age and the splines have stripped out on them. Did anyone ever make aftermarket ones that slid on? I've dealt with this problem on 4 different EA81s. Also, I have some replacement hatch struts but the previous owner has lost the brackets on the left-hand side one where they attach to the body. Does anyone have those laying around? Thanks!
  19. The chrome bumpers is what I always look for on these to indicate 2wd vs 4wd.
  20. Thanks! It appears someone definitely paid for the undercoating and it paid off. I've only seen some very minor flaking on the front bumper attachment points.
  21. Thanks man, I really appreciate it! Yes, it's 2WD 5MT. I'm going on vacation tomorrow for a week so I'm going to have to tackle it when I get back. I wanted to do more testing before I dropped ~$100 on one of those resistors and the one I have now definitely looks to have been replaced. Good call on the radiator.
