  1. I wish I had my own revolving photo stand:mad: and coupe... Very nice, I lookforward to this one too. As usual you'll do an awesome job?
  2. [subscribe to thread]
  3. I wonder if Japan has any! They're closer!
  4. To be honest, shipping would kill me if you guys could get something together at an alright price, therefore, my opinion is kinda useless at the moment...
  5. How about The bumpers black, door handles, and the RX kit black also? Bit more contrast? I approve anyway:)
  6. THats what I thought to. I also thought Daeron was referring to A/C by which he meant the large airy rust holes.
  7. I'm not 100%, But I think there are some Suzuki quad bike rims that are very similar in pattern, not sure if they clear the brakes though. I think that guy sweet82 or something around the offroad forum used something similar on his subaru buggie.
  8. The Gen 1 bed cover is what I'd really really really like, with the louvers and stuff... Painted a colour to match a two tone brat maybe... Mmmmmmm:)
  9. Overcharging cause of bad alternator? Which kills the ignition module?
  10. '81 brat- 4 speed 96mph approx '87 RX - 114mph approx Also, the question is confusing.
  11. Ooh I like these threads! Ok so these are Gen 1's but hey... '81 Brumby, my first Subaru, and car. Is fairly tidy only had 64,000km original when I got it now has 82,000km. Is awaiting removal of a little bit of rust, then 'restoration' so to speak begins. #2 '81 Brumby, Parts-mobile. Got it cheap, for parts, and what do ya know, it was legal on the road and ran mint! Still has 1 month of legal motoring left in it, so is being daily drivin till then, at which point, I'll park it in a field for parts, and maybe future trailered 4X4 project. '87 Omega RX I'm actually trying to sell this at the moment, So I can focus on one old car. And get something a bit more practical and less-turbo for perminant DD.
  12. I think you could yes. Don't ask me how specifically though. I only have vauge Ideas in that department.
  13. Answer-- No, The hubs/knuckle things, are different, very different.
  14. Ah, doh, learnt something!
  15. The prelude bonnet hinges from the front, so definately not bolt on. And looks different shape to me also.
  16. Ok, so for a laugh, and While its still Legal. I was gonna make the brumby RWD. I've got the hub assemblys off an ea81 wagon, 4wd, with solid rotors, and a popped out cv, but the stub(?) still in the hub. So to save myself busting up the outer cv, I thought i'd chuck on that hub, and stick my caliper on it, no bleeding nessasary. Soo, I've heard of sticking the complete vented setup in thurr, but nothing about mixing the two solid disc varients. Will it work?
  17. WElcome! Nice score on getting some alloys with it! They lookin gooood! Nice car/cars!
  18. I wish I had a hatch...:-\ oh well....
  19. Thats pretty damn cool right there.... Those eighties ads are awesome.. Don't quite understand the flying karate people or sumo's....
  20. Keep us updated. I hope to do the same soon.
  21. I had thought about camo, it definately would hide some of the 'imperfections' a bit better than gloss does, Matt/flat camo that is. Got the first mud on the paint today... Just a little 4wd splatter on the back from towing legacys... I'd keep on driving it quite happily personally.... Buut, 6 monthly WOF (warrent of fitness) is coming up april 24th for it... And it is just kinda a little wee tiny bit impossible to pass, I don't know where on earth the previous owner got warrents, but it musta been dodgy as ****.
  22. Very badly! But its much better than what it used to be like. Used to have very nasty furry matt red primer/rust kill kinda stuff.... Now its $3 rattle can! Whole car cost about $35NZ all up, clear coat, sand paper, colour, etc.. I was gonna pull the front bumper off to and see if I could run without it for a while, mighta looked cool. But its arc welded to the V-rusty chassis rails...Good times.... Not a wonderful job, but not tooo bad I reakon!. Before During After
  23. Sounds interesting, looking forward to seeing some finished finished pictures. Nice work anyway!
  24. '81 = EA81 4 speed... Just fyi... Its an interesting topic. I mean, I know it'll never be a rocket ship on the standard motor, but I'd be interested to know what kind of things are possible. As they are standard I think they surprize a decent amount of folk already, thats why I was just kinda interested in what kind of standard figures they'd put down so to compare to other standard/average cars.
