Oh gosh Neo,you just haven't caught a good crowd yet. On Sept. 15th,2001 we had a really big group and I think that year we ran into a Jeep group, small one at that. Then we had another day or two that were plentiful.Skip showed up once for half a day,so did George from Montana!!!(he was here on business). One time a guy drove down from Maine, like 11 hours+ one way. That was the "ZR Brat" with the killer Kawasaki green paint job and the MPFI EA82,lifted and Rhinolinered bed,etc..... As long as the place is there I'll always make it down at LEAST once a year. Worth it!!!! Call you soon....

Yeeeeouch!!! I'm droolin' !!!!! -
Not sure, but should be.Tough to answer since some new situations have risen. Remember my post about moving the storage?Well, firstly I volunteered to help the owner of the new rental with putting up a partition so my bay will be free from wandering landscape workers,etc.... Also having troubles here with the bldg. people and my flooring,so I might just rip up all my floors and go all out myself and file a law suit or work out some mediation. Not happy right now since we want this place sold this year once and for all,and get on to a house with a garage. So,it's all up in the air. Really wish I had a total beater like the once formibable,semi-legendary Killer Touring Wagon from Outer Space.Man I want to pound the living crap out of something right now. Talk to you soon.

What do I do with this car??
moosens replied to RenaissanceMan's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Mike, can you post some pictures? We've got a few of these cars here that maybe yours could help out."WagonsOnly" has a few and a convertible...or two? Here's mine: Which also resides near the salt water. This car does indeed have rot -not just surface rust- underside,so a solid body would be welcome for WagonsOnly or me if I keep it much longer. You can see that the weatherstripping and interior are in excellent shape. This car only has 45k on it!! -
Rocky Road trip/Temp Question
moosens replied to Bucky92's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Connie,if you want me to check and see what my discount gets you I'll be happy to call. I get EVERY BIT of the same pricing "Jamie" will give you or anyone else, and you won't have to add shipping from the west coast. Call me,preferably around 7-:730PM or later like before you go to bed.You know the deal,if I don't answer I'll call you back ASAP. Just got a small amount of parts this past week and need to get more.So I'll be going by there sometime later this week. Figure at least 30% off list,or sometimes more.So for a $400 rad. that's $280 or less!! -

Rocky Road trip/Temp Question

She made it down there ok. Should be on her way back soon. Thanks for checking Harry's!! -
I shouldn't rule it out,but I shouldn't pencil it in just yet either. Still playing catch-up financially.Really need to keep the petro. funds tight by keeping local if possible. And need to use my time to make the deal with MAV happen.('79 wagon from him-'67 Puch to him)He needs things done by the end of April....yikes! Thankfully I can now go all week on a 1/4 tank of gas.Soon my wife should be right about the same. So,let me see just how nice 'n fluffy these paychecks are when they hit.Won't get my first check from the current job untill next week. The guy I worked for in March is slow with his checks.....etc.etc... If you know anybody who plays guitar/bass or likes vintage Ducati motorcycles show them my post in the Non-Subaru Classifieds.I could really use a quick infusion of funding and to get rid of an item I won't be needing in the future.

Connie,no sweat, you've been punished enough already. Neo,cool,I appreciate any help at all.I'll make it easy on you.Can use dolleys and handtruck.Let more wheels do work than our backs. Hopefully I can (make that damn well better!) get a box truck with the hydraulic lift,or ramp. Not sure about PB,since I am going to help the guy who owns the place put up a wall so his cretin landscrapers don't rip off my stuff.

Thanks guys.As of May it'll be indoors. Not sure if you read some of the later posts. Going to keep the car by the door and get working on it after the third weekend of May.Should be plenty of other places for mice to hang out besides my car. It's a block bldg.,dry,no smell of mold or moisture. Might use some cheap products as mentioned for peace of mind.Should be a lot better than having to park it over grass or near a field,woods,etc..

Yeah, why doesn't a National Event hosted at Carlisle NOT have a sticky yet??? A couple of you guys in the food thread haven't registered yet.Been a tough year for at least a few of us,so I understand holding off if need be,but let's not forget the deadline. For a while there it was looking to be our best year ever.Less rednecks, more cool people, more truely vintage and interesting Subarus.....so get out of first gear, rev it up,and drop the clutch already!!

We'll rent a truck, make things happen in just a couple trips. Rain or shine.Truck can be backed straight up to the new spot, but only perpendicular to the old spot.I'll create coverage if needed with some plastic. Just like when I closed the workshop up I'll again be giving some parts away.Especially EA82 related items. And as usual,I'll take you to the diner too. Or buy a killer meal from the BBQ place down the street-which RULES!! Looking at the calender I see May begins during the week.I might get a good jump on this move before the weekend.Maybe rent the truck for a week. Really hoping to be done before Carlisle-which is the third weekend of May.

thanks Dev,but not a speck of rot on this baby.that's why the effort is needed to keep it healthy. Just came from the new space.Great guy as landlord.Great location.Going to work out well.there's already vehicles there and no problems to speak of.It's close enough that I can run over often. Not sure how intense I'll get but we'll see what happens. So many other places for the rodents to go that my car be all set. Thanks again, everyone. Probably some mothballs will help,or ????

You stole my wagon!!!!!!!!!!! Looks mighty fine!

Gentlemen,Thank you again and again for your efforts.Sorry if I get a little cranky.Just started a new job, adjusting hours, going to be adjusting hours again soon....so sleep adjustment is kind of working me over. Too bad that I'm just leaving the job I was laid off from. They have lots of material they throw out and he's got a mess of wire mesh that's probably still sitting around.Maybe I'll talk to one of the guys and see what can be had when the owner is out. Otherwise, material isn't too costly,at least nothing we mentioned yet. And to be honest,if I do need to devote some time I guess I can swing it.But with my son in his first year of "real" baseball I want to devote lots of time to him,and of course,my daughter too. With this current schedule of training on 2nd shift it's killing a lot of that time.:-\ And we're finishing off our home to sell,etc....the list goes on.Parenthood and all..... Perhaps the cage isn't as involved as I thought.Really it all depends on what I see today when I go check out the space. If I have time I'll get back to the board later before heading into work.Even 1 x 3's anchored to the floor (if the owner will let me do that) and a few studs in the corners and mid-way,simple top plate, stapled mess or screen,or both...might be quick and easy enough.Let's face it,stronger is better. As for using metal screen, mostly what I see still around is aluminum and even if it was steel I feel the mice's teeth would eat through it.Wire mess in a heavier gauge at 1/4" spacing seems good. But,do you guys think they'll make it though a 1/4" space by chewing or pushing through?Maybe drop some DE around the preimeter,or mothballs,etc....whatever works. I've heard that a rat can fit through a hole the size of a quarter (coin). So a mouse can probably fit through an even smaller hole. Like I've said, maybe this whole effort might not be worth it.Especially if it fails and I have a mouse pee interior. We just got a car like that for free over the fall/winter.Subaru3 passed along the info from a woman that contacted him.So we drove up to NY for a couple hours only to open the door and nearly drop to my knees and puke. This car was putrid-or maybe a stronger word applies. At that point I drove the thing home anyways since it ran great,etc..with the windows open and my face covered.I had some Ozium in my car, luckily. The car I want to store is in fantastic shape and has already turned "classic" status here in CT.Just trying to save a rare bird-so maybe a cage would work. thanks again!

Caitlyn Rose I'm sure he's a little busy.Hope you don't mind,Richie. -
Relax, dude. To me it's just thinking out loud.Every idea here mentioned needs refining.I'm not totally opposed to your idea at all.Sometimes you need to reply with an answer that doesn't start a cruelty to animals conversation. And I can more easily tape the top vents, etc. and even lay w/m over the only entrance point I see which is behind the hood."all that chicken wire" isn't too much to me.It's the time involved. So the way I see it the w/m is affordable, easy to flex, easy to tape down, easy to snip pieces off..... The cloth cover would be so the w/m doesn't scratch the crap out of the finish of the car.Of course I realize animals can eat through it. You know,it's probably not worth the effort anyways. Not sure why you need to get all excited with using exclamation points, but I'm not about to build a cage, sorry.Flexing some wire mesh and taping it down is alot faster. When you have two kids and all I do to keep after you'll understand.
