  1. Well,I have Pat's 73 paid for just need to get the last of the transport funds in line.Costly. I had at least on GF coupe that had those seats way back in the early-mid eighties. Was probably my 2nd car ever.Mine was maroon with saddle interior. It was balls out bitchin for what 95 % of the American public laughed at.I loved that car.
  2. OK,one down and one to go.Achtung!!!Attenzione!!!! Sunday I have to cover kid detail untill around 11AM.I'll book up to the FSCR and hang from around noon 'till 5 or so....give or take a few. Thanks to the folks who showed up today!!I accomplished the big first step.I know it still looks crazy but it'll all iron out now.Good going all around.Brusbrother the prime motivator.Soobadooba and Bucky92 were great help too. Connie also did a wicked cool job on my grill for my turbo wagon. I should also than Ken for making the haul from VT.He brought our youngest Subathusiast. She's a doll.
  3. Early birds....no!!!! Actually if I have a good guy like you there..... I'll probably be there around 9AM the latest, but my reputation would tell folks that means 9:30. If you're up to it give me a call around 8AM and see how I'm doing getting out of the house. OK I'm going out for a little bit.Call me if you want or see you tomorrow.
  4. No problem, but for anyone else: exit 40 of I-95 when coming from NY and points west and south-go left off the exit,go to intersection and take right. It's about 50 yards from the corner on your left.See below. when coming from New Haven and points east and north take a left at the end of the exit.Go under the highway and straight through the intersection. at this point no matter which way you came from you're on the same road...you'll see a Shell gas station on your left, followed by a Dunkin Dognuts, and then the little industrial park my place is located in.It's called Industrial Park North,a.k.a. 230 Woodmont Road. You have arrived!
  5. Alaska eh??? hmmmmm.I use Alaskan yellow cedar a lot.Smells like weed when you cut it.I love the smell of it except it'd be better if it was unfertilized female Alaskan yellow cedar. I'd love to live there for a year or two and see what it's really like. So,I take it you won't be flying in for the event. No rain no rain no rain!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Rain ending overnight.Poissible shower later in the day Saturday but I'm thinking it'll be fine during the bulk of my blessed event. Come on by.
  7. Stop by-230 Woodmont Rd. Milford CT exit 40 off I-95 in either direction. Super easy to reach.Less than one minute from the exit. I'll be having an open house.Giving lots of stuff away.70's through '89 and then some. Stuff I got from the dealer:cool stickers,World RX cards and stuff, parts refernce books, little coasters shaped like floormats w/Subaru on them.Might be a couple other things there too. Hope to see you carting items away. Cheers
  8. Weather channel or WCBS 880AM when near NYC radio, also the best for traffic report if coming through NY.Always check, they give you traffic and weather every ten min.....you know the deal.Nothing like having to find out there's a protest with millions of purple mohawks clogging the GWB and you being in a parking lot behind it all.I tell everyone to listen...some do... :-p I'm going to be there on Sunday as well.If you drive down Saturday I'll gladly accept your company and accomadate.I'm sure even with some wet stuff I'll be buzzing along.I'm a man determied...a man with a mission...hell bent for organization and a clear walkway at the very least. Just stop down whichever date or time is best for you. I'll be there early but I'd prefer folks give me untill 10AM or even a little later before they roll in. Saturday,I must leave by 4:30PM.Sunday I'll probably be there about the same times,10-4 or so. I'm going back to the local dealer tomorrow. They should be tossing me some handouts,no promises but they did offer. We'll see what they toss at us.My Senior Master Tech buddy probably won't make it.If he does he'll be kind of quick.Main reason is he has no room for parts too.
  9. Keep it going!!!!....or get it going firstly..good luck, nice score!
  10. Hey gang,if it's raining on Saturday please consider coming on Sunday instead or just hold off.I don't have room for too many people if it rains....infact,I don't have room, period! :-\ That's why I need to open the o/h door and get stuff the heck outside.
  11. Jason, you can email me...I know you can, you've done it before. It's the rear diff.attatched by the axles to the rear drums with the suspension sticking up in the air.I can break it down if you need to but I'd prefer to have it go in one piece to someone who doesn't require shipping. Dave,I was wondering if you were coming up or not. Everyone, If it rains feel free to bail out as I don't have room for more than a few people inside, and that's if I can clear some space. If it's a light drizzle I can roll the car out.If it looks like heavier rain let's bag it untill Sunday. And now for the "if we bag it consolation prize".We can always re-schedule for another Saturday....but soon please!! if you guys can only make it by on a Saturday.Any locals are welcome to come by Sunday.I'll be there and it should be sunny out. But,this is New England so watch the weather channel before you cruise on over from lands afar.
  12. no sweat,he might or might not be able to make it.Last time he was there and stayed about a half hour only, but he had his kid and had to go somewhere else.Nice that he even stops by.great guy! According to Smitty at Pine Barrens the horse is the most expensive form of land transportation.....but we know you're loaded.
  13. lets see if I can tackle all these.... Caleb, too bad you aren't closer. Kevin, the really old stuff stays with me.It'll be a few 70's items that I have extra. But I won't toss the coupe stuff,I'm still working on getting the one I paid for transported.('73)...thanks Pat! baja-I've got a complete rear from a '75 4WD wagone sitting there. Connie,no sweat,I'm sure we'll all help out. WJM,I've made it from here to Greenboro(?) in 9 hours if that helps....worth the trip from anywhere. operose-and she's cute too!!! Anyone seen Dennis around anymore???? Thanks for all your thoughts.Yes,I'm losing my playhouse but I'll have an actual house soon. This high-rise stuff did us good while the kids were small but it's time to go.Kids need grass, the kind you walk on and play on,not a parking lot and having to drive a few blocks to a playground.I'm going to miss the late nights up there but it's all worth it.Life is for the kids now. Next year I hope to be expanding a garage to suit.I'll be sure to keep the little fridge for beverages....engine crane and tools, might be getting a Bridgeport milling machine from my uncles shop.....geez,I might aspire to be Skip someday!!!I grew up in the machine tool trade and hopefully I'll be able to have a nice set up.If Planning and Zoning gets in my way I'll go mental.I want a big rump roast garage/shop.Only this time it won't be cluttered with Subaru stuff,etc.. OK,now you know my story. Hope to see you all soon.
  14. Some items to toss out: Mario Andretti was the Grand Marshall of today's parade in NYC.Many Italian cars, including the introduction(to the east coast) of the latest Lambo, many Italian bikes(mmmmmmmm,my favorite!!!),and more.Couldn't get out of work to sneak down, bummer. I have a bitchin shirt.I think I told you all about it a while back.My wife got it for me without me knowing and surprised me with it this past bithday. It's 3 native Americans in dress and above it says "Homeland Security".Below it says "Fighting terrorism since 1492".....I love that shirt. Why isn't is a holiday for the Spanish too?Or what I mean is why isn't it special to them too?Heck,if it wasn't for them old Christopher C would have never made it over, and the islands and South, and Central America would still be folks who look like Sitting Bull. Connecticut has the largest Italian American polulation-NOT NY or NJ. The world is round. Basta.Ciao!
  15. Oh,I'm going to try to get a senior master tech who's been with Subaru just about forever to stop by.He'd be able to answer any questions about just about any Subaru that ever sold in this country....and then some. I might even get some give-aways from the dealer. They offered them to me last time. But it was after my get together. They said next time just tell us and we'll toss you some goodies to handouts.
  16. Waaaaggggghhhh! I was hoping you two could make it down.I guess your Gen I is in the vo-tech school,eh Hag? Well,do what you can but I'm not exactly closing the doors just yet.I'll be around untill I get another shop/storage place or our next home. Woosta......funny.....even funnier with one "O" I hope those riding lessons are on dirtbikes..... :-p I hear that horses are dangerous. Ciao
  17. Hag and Freak-you guys gonna make it down to my place this coming weekend?Freak-Sunday,I'll make time for you since you can't make Saturday. I will be attempting to go to Maine to take care of that '81 Brat I told you guys about.JunkyardGabe is not responding to my emails, calls, etc. so I'm not sure of what I can do with the Brat. It'll need to be taken off the property where it is now.I was hoping to have Gabe bring it to his yard and meet up there. That way he can have the carcass to crush. Once I get my blue dash, provided it's in the shape I need it to be in,I'll gladly let that black dash go.Hag spoke up about it first, sorry Freak. Then,I also have some other stuff for you guys. There's some blue seats, some trim,etc.....stop down if you can.
  18. Check the "Meet 'n Greet" forum. You'll see that I'm having an open house this coming weekend-Saturday-maybe Sunday too. Gang, this is IT.....nearing the end of my workshop.Soon I'll be in a regular old house with a cheesey garage(untill I can build up and out).Stop up and sift through the hundreds of pounds of Subaru parts.A lot of stuff will be free or so cheap you won't even think about gyp'in me down. Milford Connecticut-230 Woodmont Rd.Super easy to get to.Plenty of food nearby. My place has a bathroom, small fridge,microwave.....open house, make yourself comfy but please consider making yourself useful as well.I'll be accepting help most graciously. All I want to do is move the majority of my floating stuff outside, let you all pick and choose from what I'm not keeping, and help me box and inventory the items I am keeping. Bring a box for yourself please.Make it a good moving box or something sturdy.Heck, bring a couple of boxes. If anyone has some that they can dump off to me that'd really help a lot. I'd offer to cook but it's going to be a busy day.I'll just send someone over to the drive-in around the corner. There's almost every type of food you can think of within a mile from me.Indian,Japanese, hotdogs 'n hamburgers, you name it,it's there. Moderators, please don't move this post.I feel it belongs here because it is an opportunity most older model owners can really take advantage of.Not enough people check the Meet 'n Greet form as well. This should get more folks in tune to the happenings. Anyone is welcome.Even the guy who ripped me off.I'd love to see you again. Doesn't matter who you are,new member, old scumbag, even Miles Fox is welcome. Pick up Skip along the way please. THIS Saturday!! Email if you need to. This is it gang.Soon,no more First Subaru Church of the Resurection.
  19. Jesse,I can meet you there on Sunday but it'd have to be either early in the day or after 6PM.
  20. Mark,get that wagon baby!!!!!
  21. Awww shucks......no emoticon fits this post. Thanks guys. Jim,sorry bud,I thought I told you.....we'll talk soon. Scott, you're never going to believe this but I was all for Reagan.I liked him mostly because I was younger and more easily impressed.Liberal?I'm not entirely sure about that.Pinko?Have you been looking in my dresser drawer again? Connie, you're very welcome.Let's hope for good weather and a few able bodies showing up next week. Cheers gang!
