What is the avantage to the dual range tranny and the ej? Where does the DR come from and older gen soob?

Omg that is beautiful i been wondering if it was true. Ill deffinitally drop in a EJ22 in that case. Just need to find one and rebuild it now. Anyone know someone selling a block!!!!? I will need a new clutch kit too thought my cluth and pp or maybe its just my clutch doesnt seem to ingage just i would like. It likes to get stinky but maybe its just because of my lack of power from the 1.8. I can only climb steep in 1st

I have alot of buddys out here with alot of experience with deep water and they say the greese can do good on the disty but they also talk about Greese + Pantyhose + WD40 on the Disty and the rag deal i heard as well. then a snokel would make a good difference too

I have to say i like just about everything about that imp.... when i bought my imp before i found this site that is kinda similar to how i wanted mine to look except mine is a sedan and has more dents but i dont care about that. I was panning on a steel bumer.. not quit like that though and something for the roof just to mount lights. And lift, tires. I need to do something about power. I have a 1.8 in my imp and it cant stay. I need any info i can get about a 2.2 or 2.5 converstion because i will do it. im aiming more for the 2.2 at this point

I like it but i would also have exited the car differently. Looks like it will work great

oh yea ej22 is the newer gen engine 2.2 liter right (fuel injected) and coil packs rather than distributor right?

Thanks EJ22 or EJ25 i want to do one or the other. What is the deal on the transmission am i going to have to swap that out too. I know that the 2.2 and the 2.5 can use the same tranny but im not so sure about the 1.8 Transmission. But that would be extremely cool if i just needed to get a new clutch kit or something and the tranny would bolt up. Im not really sure weather the tranny now though would handle a 2.2. Would be nice though if it would i would like some more power for sure

I'm going im in the process of getting some steel tube as well = ). ill probably eventually make a snorkle if i ever find something deep enough to drive through

buying a set of 27in venture M/T as soon as i get some more money in. I have saved about enougn extra money for 1 tire so far just need enough for 3 more = )

Thanks for those who helped me with what to buy ect. Pulled an all nighter last night and did the suspension wow it was well worth it though. I had a blast in the woods after i got finished. Some guys on four wheelers looked at me like they didnt know what was going on lol = ) How would i go about putting a pic of it on here so you guys can see it?

Faster = better always imo. = ). I dont mind taking a little bang here and there. My subes already got 4 good sized dents. I poped them out but you can still tell they were there

Oh yea btw, your Imp looks SICK!!!!. I love that bumper its great. Im planning on welding one soon myself. What kind of welder did you use?? All i have is a tig welder. did you use a mig?

If your going to die in a car your probably going to die in a car so go ahead and unplug them airbags = ). I would rather them not go off while im wheeling myself. could just get a better harness if you really want = ).

tried the fuel filter. The screen on the pump didnt really looked like it was clogged but ima get some gas later on to put in it just to be sure it has alot to make sure that isnt a problem at all then if it doesnt start again im going to get a new screen to put on the pump i guess. as soon as my brother gets home im going to test the spark plug wires to make sure none of those are going bad. My plugs didnt look fouled or anything. Fuel pump is deffinitally working. you can hear it pumping just fine.

Still havent replaced the filter yet but the car started up fine to turn it around to where i can put it under the light and acted like it ran fine so i doubt that it is the pump. I guess the filter is probably the best and cheapest guess at this point. I just really dont want to have to get my car towed again fromt the side of the interstate lol. It really sucks lol/

Odd it starts up and acts like it runs fine now but i know it will do it again because it started to kinda do it the other day. I guess i will try the fuel filter

94 Impreza L , Fuel Inj

Ok i was driving down the interstate all was good then my car started bucking a little and and acting like it was having a fuel problem. Im not sure if this has happened to any of you before but you think its the pump? I have a feeling im going to be dropping the tank = \. A guy on the new gen forum told me that it might be the fuel filter because the same thing happened to him and it fixed it? If so i probable want to try that since its cheaper and i need to get my ride back on the road asap. Just got my KYB Forester Struts today btw = ) hoping to put them on the weekend. Oh yes and where is the fuel filter located in this thing? How much of a job do you think it is going to be for me to do it? I wasnt sure where it was i figured it might be part of the assembly on the tank somewhere but i could be wrong. I couldnt find a manual on it and 94 Impreza L is new to me all i know before this is Rx7. Just happened today btw
