I am buying crawlerdans RX and if you look at the car he has a wrx IC in it and he is only running about 5psi in it now. I also know the best way to blow these motors is by pushing it past its limits i dont think 5psi is pushing it. I dont plan on pushing it past 7psi. So hopefully this motor will last me for a lil bit. But yes to clearify, I do know that these motors are prone for HG faliure. I plan on putting a 2.2T in it when that happens, and swapping the wrx or sti IC if i get one for resonable price. and the turbo cause it had a vf11 in it now. thanks for your input GD but i am aware

OK first of GD, you do not know what you are talking about. Yes i have met you which i might add was a horrible experience. You did not help me in one bit that time i met you, even though you may think you have. Sorry to becoming out like this. Anyways, I do know that a EA82T is not reliable and most likely will blow the HGs soon. But a intercooler is a interchangable part. If you have not been reading my last post i plan on dropping a EJ22T in it as soon as the HG's go. My question was is the STI intercooler larger then the WRX intercooler because i have never seen one. It was simple question that did not need to be attacked. Just because i am young does not mean that i have not done my research on these motors. thanks

I have a wrx intercooler now. IS a sti intercooler larger? would i be benifitiing by putting a sti IC on a ea82t with a vf11? Or are wrx IC and sti IC the same?

Yeah just a bit. I have done head-gaskets which is easy to do. but i think a swap will be a bit harder. I think i have a garage i can use. One of my former toyota friends... may be we'll see. lol but any help would be appreciated. I dont have any one out here other then myself.

HEy as some of you know i just recently moved to beautiful CO and i am also recently getting back in to the subaru community. I am looking at buying eyesores hatch. For the right price. However i would want to do a EJ swap almost mediately. So here is where you guys can help. I need to know where the best subaru junk yards are in CO. I also would like to know if any of you would be interested in helping with the swap. I would provide meals for anyone who would be willing to help me with the hard stuff. Engine pull, wiring the ECU, bigger radiator,adapter plate and ETC. I am familiar with a wrench, but not familiar with custom swaps. I live downtown so i dont have a garage. If anyone would like to help with that, would be awesome! OK so CO guys show me how CO ppl roll... lol I promise it will be fun. Also if i do not buy the hatch i would still be looking to buy a subi. so let me know of any deals that you know of too!

YEah i think i am going to offer 1500 and see what he says, i cant really afford more then that cause if i do buy the car i am going to imediatly do 2.2 swap. I have a feeling he is going to say no. But i still would like to see it.

well i am suppose to see it sunday. he said he would take 2500 for it which is still a bit high for my liking. I was thinking max 2000. but we'll see if cash talks or not. lol its good to be back i missed the community it was fun seeing fellow subie enthusiast.

Hello all! Some of you may remember me from last year. I had a 87' subi featured as my avatar. I sadly made the stupid mistake of selling it and buying a lifted toyota 4x4 i kno i kno. yes noah pulled one of those out at wcss8 i remember... and yes i was the one telling the yota guys to take a hike and go buy a subi. Call me a hypocrite if you want. Anyways, i am not back on my mission of buying a subaru. is this line inside my dash or in the engine bay? the white thing in my engine bay on the passenger side does not have any broken lines that i see

Yeah so the other day it started to rain and my windshield started to get all foggy and crap. so i go to turn on my defrosters which i have not turned on in awhile. (since my engine swap) And nothing happens. i am getting air through the reg. vents but no matter what button i push to change the direction of air flow nothing changes. and only my 3 and 4 setting work on the air flow control. So is it electrical? what should i do? any one know how to fix this. cause winter is coming and i will be screwed if i dont figure a way to defrost my windshield. Thnks

yeah seems high. but he is a dealer, so what can you expect. A private seller would probally sell that for close to 6,000 or less. that is at least what i think

idk man. I know yours is new, but my 87 wagon had the same thing going on and it actually overfilled my resivour. i then came to the realization it was my HG. had milk shake... ugh bad memories. but if you say your temp is ok then i would guess it could be something else. i know i am not being much help but i am tired and i just had a sandwich and so now i am going to bed. thanks brian, yeah i think i am just going to be lazy and install it under my dash. lol it's a nice cb it also has a PA system. so i can yell at you from my car next time. hahahahaaha:banana:

how are you guys mounting it on your ceiling? with out screwing in to the roof? I just got a cb and i really dont know where to put it too. and i saw brians on his ceiling but i never checked out how he got it to stay up there.

I am lucky, i have a friend that makes custom vinyl stickers. He's making me one as we speak. he made me some really sweet snowboard stickers too. hahahahahaha yay for friends
