  1. what year was the car you got the disty from? if it was an ea82 style car (block headlights, timing belts) then you got the wrong one, if it is out of an ea81 car with a simular nose to yours, you got the right one.
  2. any possibility that you might be able to go back and snap a couple pics? i bet paul or andrew or i might be interested. thanks Jon
  3. awesome! i always like to see doomed soobs progress back to daily drivers, nice work:banana:
  4. i found some from an early cavalier that are very close. the only measurement that is way off is the height, but if you cut 2 or 3 louvers off, it probly would work great on a hatch......
  5. yea, you could wire the electric fan to the coil so it is on constantly as soon as you turn the key........as long as you keep the coolant level up, and don`t run it in the red, you can run it with a bad HG for a while....
  6. looks like you have some sweet wheels on that, please post some straight on pics of the wheels! looks like a fun project!
  7. any body have louvers on their hatch? http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/Literature/brochures/1985-b.jpg i`m going to try either making them or adapting some from another car. any suggestions? is their any other cars out their with a simular sized rear window?
  8. are you going to paint them or change the tires or both? that would help the car out alone.....
  9. rust is a big factor. got any pix? i just sold a rust free 4wd brat for 1250....
  10. for some reason i thought you had one on your wagon....oh well:drunk:
  11. will you be trimming up the lower nose too? looks pretty sweet as is
  12. yeah, importing from Wash or OR is definatly the way to go, in the end it saves you alot of body work and money. if you found a hatch in WA for $400, and pay $600 shipping through DAS, thats only $1000 for a clean hatch. now the only problem is keeping the WA suby people from getting p/o'd about us buying there cars and bringing them over here:lol: i`ve been riding around in a junker civic hatch with those WA plates for days:grin: speaking of that, i`ll have to wax the hatch soon. its getting a pretty good haze on it.....
  13. nice rims junkie! those are going to look pretty burly with some swampers on them:grin: i had a set just like them on my old dodge d50
  14. if you ever build up another ea81, Stratus 2000 has the jdm dual port heads with the different cams and monster valves. he had like 20 sets from a load he bought years ago, that is also where i bought that dual carb setup from....
  15. a few names come to mind that you may want to contact. soobmater, numbchux, cmiller, kingbobdole
  16. take pics of the floor when you do, so we can better help you with how to fix it....
  17. i mounted mine on rubber mounts right on the rear shelf under the hood. i mounted it on the pass side, and ran the fuel lines over to it and the carb, then i wired it right to the coil which worked like a charm, when the key is on, the pump is on..... and vise versa. oh and i couldn`t unbolt my old one due to rusty bolts so i left it in there, just unplugged it and took off all the hoses going in and out, then i just attached the filter to the hose going up front.
  18. awesome Chris, can`t wait to see it!! and drive in it!! please:brow: you say it will churp into 3rd now:grin: thats awesome.... have you noticed a big cut in your milage? i was going to spfi my hatch, but now i`m having second thoughts:D
  19. you better get to work man!!!!have your neigbor look at the rust asap so you can see what has to be done for inspection. maybe chris could sell you a drivers fender off his tan hatch?
