  1. for the east coasters....If Eli would still want to do something like this, you could have the truck to NY or CT for not a whole lot more than $1100. i broke down the costs to $200 for food, $340 gas, $350 2 plane or train tickets home, $150 for the truck, approx $50 to get it running. just a thought for someone far way who wants it....... Thanks again Eli, for the offer!
  2. heck yes, that would be awesome, i would just hate to ask someone to do that for me:lol: unless you were planning an east coast trip of course:brow:
  3. it was worth a try i guess:-\ Anyone else??? i would hate to see this get junked, it just has too much rare stuff on it, it looks like it even has fender flares.
  4. there is this guy in AZ that contacted me with his 79 brat for sale. it doesn`t run currently, but the guy has owned it over 10 yrs. he said the body is very clean, and it also has a clear title, jump seats, A-bar, roll bar, factory spoiler, and extra mag rims (If anyone buys it, i would buy the rims for $80) . he said it should run pretty easilly, but it has been setting for awhile. the interior is sunbaked he says. it is so tempting, but unless he got it running, i just couldn`t afford the shipping. he wants $150 for it, and if you guys don`t get it soon, its going on ebay or to the scrapyard!! get it fast!!!i can`t recall where in AZ he said it was, but i can find out. pm me with any Q's or contact info. here are a few small pics....
  5. i remembered these pics here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=478&sl=r is it driveable now?
  6. yup, your 4sp will bolt in. you will just need the clutch petal, linkages, shifters with linkages, consoles, and a few other odds and ends. $1350 is a GREAT deal for a turbo brat though. if it is clean enough, it might be worth while to fix the tranny and double your money on it, t-brats are RARE and valuable! the last one on ebay went for 5k..... just my 2 cents
  7. yea, hocrest owns a brat, so he probly knows the weak spots...
  8. i`ll get back to you John. it would be coming off an extra ea71 i have, but everything is the same for the ea81. this was a great running motor.... do any of your parts gen 1 wagons have axles in them? i need a pair of junk axles to take apart. i`m converting the brat to RWD, but i don`t want to ruin a good set. ea81 axles would work too....
  9. how bad is the parts car? maybe you could sell that to recoup some of your original investment? did you take any pics? sounds like a pretty decent deal really.... heck, i`d sell you my brat and hatch for $2500:brow:
  10. forgot to post these, but is this that brat?
  11. if the s800 you are talking about is one of those early honda coupes, yea, i almost had one:lol: i bought a n600 instead. never had a Datsun Fairlady.
  12. i have a weber John, let me think about it though i should be able to sell it reasonably. if not, there is a few u-pull it yards by my house with single port injection setups.
  13. yea, sooooo?? i guess you probly haven`t seen my driveway, i own alot more than just subes. i buy and sell quite a bit of toyotas and hondas.....
  14. hey mirroromega, Andrew in CT never bought your ff1? man, i wanted to buy that months ago:mad:
  15. Matt, here is your car almost, except its missing the motor, and the paint is not as nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-Subaru-GL-4-Dr-No-Motor-5pd-Air_W0QQitemZ8068969962QQcategoryZ6783QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

if you spend that much on supplies, why don`t you just buy one from AA or BYB?? you will also need a londer steering shaft, and brake lines. .25 square tubing would be plenty strong in my opinion. good luck
  17. i paid $25 bucks a tire off a clearence rack, but, i don`t know their regular price
  18. thats the spittin image of my old hatch, roof rack and all! looks like it would be a nice deal for you. hopefully you will be able to score it:headbang:
  19. i had a set of them on my hatch, great tires! they must have some pretty good sidewall strength. the rx looks great btw
  20. i bet that'll hit 2 grand before the auction ends, it would have been nice if someone found that one before ebay:-\
  21. i got them off a guy parting out an 80 brat in MO......never seen them before
  22. you must have alot of cash for a 14 yr old:lol: or rich parents:brow: either way, good luck on the new hatch:headbang: i fell in love with one on Seattle craigslist, now its in my driveway:grin: :
  23. Yea, i spoke to the kid selling it on the phone a couple times, sounded nice for a grand. pretty sure it had a rollbar and all too:D i will try and find the pics for you later today.
  24. i think the guy you are talking about is on the subaru brat club in yahoo groups. he was selling it for $1000 btw it was in denver iirc
