  1. those rokons are rugged as hell, my pop used to have one, it was spray painted black and purple:grin: it would climb a tree if you wanted it to, it also had some lunker tires on it, with wheels you could fill with water.
  2. i think its pretty sharp meself, but i`m a brat kinda guy;)
  3. nice work man:headbang: the imp looks like its frowning:grin:
  4. a come along is pretty much a winch without a motor, instead it has a man operated ratcheting handle. they are a workout, but easy to use. they use the same type cable as a winch
  5. i like come alongs myself, because they are easy to control, no getting your hand caught and crushed (yea, it happens)
  6. the DEC trucks are always running around in NY (Dep. of Enviromental Conservation) they are usually green expeditions, towing box trailers with 4 wheelers in them incase they have to go on offroad pursuit;)
  7. if its posted, and you see any DEC trucks around, don`t go in, if you don`t "see" any posted signs, and no dec trucks around, your golden:D if you get caught, plan on getting a ticket;) looks like a good spot though, especially for PA, they are few and far in between.if you see any rough deep stuff, it only gives you a reason to lift up the legacy:brow:
  8. spray the paint straight on bare metal, primer would only weaken its hold. you will like the results, especially if you do 2 or 3 coates, and let it dry all the way. its some tough stuff
  9. i just got my nifty lil badge too:banana:
  10. are you going to use rattle can paint? if so, go with engine heat paint, its WELL worth the extra few bucks. that stuff dries rock solid, really good stuff, and if you get gloss black, it goes on real nice too. just an fyi, it will last and look better alot longer NICE work btw, that imp is going to look mean:headbang:

its been done with no known frame problems:
  12. when driving on sand, start off nice and easy, and gradually speed up, if you start off to fast, you`ll dig yourself a hole. subarus really are great beach cars though, so you shouldn`t have any problems.

looks awesome mtsmiths has some cool ideas going on there too. looks like an old baja, with t-tops and half doors,
  14. that is a steal of a deal if it is anywhere near rust free!! as long as the body is clean, you could buy it for the 400, and be able to get out of it for probly $800 if you had to.
  15. this is a very common problem with old soobs, but there is another fix: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49954
  16. i have never seen someone with a "SUPEROO" Brat though, i guess its kind of a universal name, but i still like it regardless of who i am copying:rolleyes: thanks oh, and i think Trudy **might* be taking the fe weapon of mass destruction along with the brat.
  17. Machineagevictum, i have another set of alloys that are simular to these, but the newer style, if you might be interested. i can let the set go for $100 they have good pirelli tires on them. thanks for the comments guys
  18. even though someone might be buying this brat, i just thought i`d post a few up to date pix of the brat. i took the bumpers off, painted the door handles/mirors/rear emblem, installed the 3rd eye, painted the grill, and a few other odds and ends. i was going to lower it a little and install the higher compression motor, but i never did get to it. if it does sell, i know it is going to a good home in VT:) i have named it SUPEROO, even had vinyl decals made for the sides.
  19. i think Trudys going AZ style in a tan 78 Brat with a 3rd eye:brow: i`m sure gonna miss it:-\
  20. that is an absolute shame, that was such a nice brat. i remember when that one was on ebay i think? AZ brats rock:headbang: if you can find a rust free one in the $500 range, it might be worth shipping, and you will start out alot further ahead, saving the headaches of bodywork, but thats me:brow:
  21. that would be AWESOME!! you could even make it into a camper:D
  22. sorry for the hijack, **Paul or Todd** if you read this, delete all my posts in this thread that are not related to caboo's brat;)
  23. go to Redline weber's web site, they have a 32/36 weber kit made for subarus
  24. i have a set of nice gen 1 tail lights if you are interested. i`ve spoken to Tomsbrats a couple times, really friendly guy, with some awesome ideas, i think he was going to put a TTej20 in his brat:D
  25. Ebay cancelled the auction on him because if you list a vehicle in the parts section, you are not allowed to write anything about the Title:mad: , they did this exact thing to me last week when i tried to list a toyota p/u w/blown motor.
