i'm not sure... i grabbed them on ebay a few months ago... i think i paid $75 or so for them (not including shipping)
-
overall diameter is 27"... still have an inch or so of clearance from the bottom spring perch. they were black when i bought them... i got a deal i couldn't pass up
-
here are some quick pics... i plan on trying them out a bit later today...
-
i have a REALLY minor rub on the front... but not at full lock... about half way in, it catches the plastic fenderwell liner just a bit. they look mean! i'll get some pics tonight... i'm on my way to work now...

i don't have a wrx... i have wrx wheels though for my 96 legacy wagon... these... are going on these... which are going on this...

ordered my new tires tonight for the wagon. i'm picking up a set of general grabber at2's sized in 215/65/16 to fit the wrx wheels i have in my basement. pics to follow.

what all would be needed other than the adapter plate to get the ea series hi/low 4x4 5spd tranny into a legacy with the ej22? i'm guessing rear diff, axles, driveshaft, flywheel, clutch? would the driveshaft have to be custom? anybody done this? i was walking around the junkyard today and saw a few gl's with the tranny, shifter, etc and could probably pick up the necessary parts for a fairly decent price. any input would be great!

your engine does NOT need backpressure... you lost low end power because you lost exhaust flow velocity in the lower rpms... again... backpressure is restriction... restriction is bad. think of an engine as a giant air pump. you want to evacuate the air as quickly and efficiently as possible. too small a diameter piping, you will have great exhaust flow velocity down low but not flow enough up top. too large a diameter piping, the air experiences turbulence and does not flow well in the lower rpms. once you reach the upper rpms though, you'll gain more power from larger piping. you want to find the optimum where you flow decently all across the rpm range to maintain low end and gain top end. 2.25" would be my recommendation for the ej22...

95+ is obdII so you have a 2nd o2 sensor that will throw a CEL without a cat in there... backpressure is restriction... restriction is bad... lack of backpressure will not do damage... you want to maintain exhaust flow velocity. 2.25" piping should be fine for an ej22. you should consider a header while you're doing your exhaust and maybe a high flow cat instead of no cat... hi flow's can be had for $50 or less on ebay and shouldn't throw a code. if you go with a glasspack, make sure it's a perforated core... louvered cores cause turbulence and will decrease performance. my gf has a borla header, 2.25" piping, catco cat, and a borla muffler. it sounds mean and made a nice difference in performance

the bars on mine hold themselves up no problem... i can even use two of the pins in the rear to hold the endlinks up on the sway bar going out to get some pics...
-
i'll try to snap a few tomorrow

$8 solved the problem went to lowe's, picked up some 3/8" clevis pins and 4 pull style/hitch receiver cotter pins and bam... sway bar quick disconnects. easy to install, easy to remove, and the flex is awesome.
-
awesome... i may have to take you up on that!

pamike... sure was erik... i dunno... he had no problems showering my wagon with two rooster tails of dirt when he dropped it into 2wd. it seemed to grip just fine. i had a set of regul trailblazer at's (basically bfg at's) on the 81 fullsize chevy i used to have and that thing was awesome in the snow and offroad.

i went out this past weekend with a friend of mine (he has the green yj in the pics) offroading a bit. we had a hell of a time finding a good place to go that wasn't posted and such but we found a short trail to go back and forth on. it was pretty fun. it's the first time i've really had the wagon offroad. i was actually surprised how much ground clearance i have even with the small tires. didn't get stuck at all. pics can be viewed here

i don't want to remove the sway bars completely as i do want to be able to make an emergency lane change if need be and still be able to keep the car rubber side down... if there's no problems flexing without the bars, i think i'll have to get to work fabbing something up.
-
i have a question... do you guys disconnect the sway bars to get more flex out of the suspension? i know jeep guys use quick disconnects for ease of removal to get more flex but i'm not sure if you'd damage the axles/diff since most jeeps are solid axle. i'm wondering because i have an idea of quick disconnects and may fab something up but i want to make sure i won't do any damage to the drivetrain before i disconnect the bars and start flexing. thoughts?

didn't realize this post was about the import kit/replicar show... i'll be at the sport compact in early may.
