North East Offroad Subi Meet: July 15th, @ Paragon

i'll definetely be there... although i'm not sure the car will be runnin on all 4 cylinders... (i'm having some misfire problems that i still haven't been able to sort out yet... maybe i'll pick up a fuel injector from harry's) -
he'd want a lower offset to move the wheels out away from the spring perch as the mounting hub/wheel contact surface would be closer to the center of the wheel on a lower offset. maybe a +45 or +40 would help.
-
i believe you can still buy it from them, they just aren't marketing it anymore... but i could be wrong
-
mine measured about 21" from bolt to bolt.
-
it's pouring right now... but once it dries up a bit, i'll go measure mine. sany3ver... how much clearance do you have under the rear diff?
-
two thoughts regarding the closeness to the front of the rear wheel well... 1. are the forester trailing arms longer than the impreza/legacy arms? if so, that might allow the wheel to be more centered in the wheel well? 2. if not, could the existing trailing arms be lengthened to help clear the wheel well? i may have to look into getting some forester springs.
-
so the forrester springs are actually taller?
-
do the impreza's get more lift than the legacy's do with a similar setup? i'm lifted on outback struts and springs and bigger tires and i don't think mine sits as high as the two posted...

group 2 would be fun... that's what tow straps are for right? rollover protection is more for roofless vehicles (jeeps, etc) only thing i don't have is a fullsize spare... i wonder if i can get away with the stock spare... it'd probably be enough to get me out of there... :-\ -

http://www.paragonap.com/ ^^link to paragon's website. i'll have to check the 15th but i think i could make it down in the wagon. -
you shouldn't even need a protractor... measure your height at the bumper/rad support/etc, measure the distance from the tire to the previous measurement point across the ground. you'd have two sides of a triangle and at least one angle (90 from ground plane to vertical plane. with geometry you should be able to figure out the angles. (i've been out of highschool too long to give you the formula you'd need to figure out the angles although i'm sure you could find it online)

95 outbacks weren't lifted... 96 was the first year for the lift. 95 was basically a stock l wagon with visual upgrades...
-
my 27's rub a bit on my legacy and i'm lifted on outback struts/springs... you'll probably rub on the bottom spring perch... in addition to other places.
-
losdiosdeverde... when are you coming up towards raystown? that's only an hour or so away from me. as for a lift, i plan on an allied armament lift... it's already sitting on outback struts/springs though.
-
indeed. i think i'll love a 5spd d/r swap better though i'm waiting on a friend of mine to get his new firewire card installed so he can get the video off his digital vid camera. i also have some vid of my friend ripping and tearing in his yj. (in other words, there will be more vid posted soon) next up... either rausch creek or paragon.
-
went out with my friend and his yj again this past saturday and hit up some trails down in his area. my wagon never ceases to amaze me at how capable it really is... especially with the 4x4 switch installed (thanks andyjo for the link). anyways, here are some of the pics from this weekend. more pics and some vids can be found here
